DEC11VSNMINI3~ Friday, Nov 11 ~ 7pm EST~ Jingle Bell Rock
Title: Jingle Bell Rock
Hostess: Kelly (sunstamper)
Keyword: DEC11VSNMINI3
Day/Date: Friday, November 11th
Time: 7:00pm EST
My favorite thing about the holiday season is listening to all the wonderful Christmas music. From the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Day, I drive my family crazy with holiday music from Glen Miller to the Bare Naked Ladies. (They really do have an awesome Christmas CD!) Certain songs bring back such nice holiday memories of my childhood.
My favorite holiday song is "Silver Bells". It brings back memories of shopping with my mom and being amazed at the hustle and bustle of the other shoppers, the colorful lights and decorations, and standing in line to get my picture taken with Santa.
Your challenge is to create a card that represents your favorite holiday song. Use at least two layers and two embellishments (i. e. ribbon, brads, something shiny). You get extra points if you share with us why the song is your favorite!
UPLOADING/CHALLENGE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00PM EST ON MONDAY, December 12th.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put the correct keyword, DEC11VSNMINI3, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Remember, there's no combining VSN challenges.
5. Post a link to your creation in this thread to be sure your card is seen.

I LOVE this!! I start listening the day after Thanksgiving too! The other day my son and I were singing Jingle Bells and the hubby told us "no Christmas songs before Halloween". So I guess I will be starting the day after Halloween this year!
Oooohhhh I'm SO hearing Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer!

just made a card but question- when you say two embellishments- are you thinking two separate embellishments (and can a sparkle pen count as an embellishment???)
Here's mine- I was inspired by I'll Be Home for Christmas (love Michael Buble's version). Since I live 6 hours away from the rest of my family this song is one I listen to over and over
My embellishments are the onyx twinkle stickers and then I used my copic spica pen to give the snow on the trees and the buildings a bit of sparkle (I also used my copic markers to color the trees and add a little light to one house)

Love the card. Simple elegance! I think the stickers and the sparkle count for embellishments. Thanks for playing!

Here's mine... think the song might be self-evident

Whipped up a card for this challenge at 4.30am, before I headed out for work. Thought it up just before I slipped off into the land of nod last night, and was just a matter of making it while having my first cuppa of the day.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
When ever I think of Christmas this song is the first thing that pops into my head. It's a little fantasy, very unlikely to ever happen in Australia. My Christmasses are very warm, to hot and sweltering.

What a great card! Did you emboss or did you use bleach?
Everyone's cards are so great. I need to make a new one as I'm not liking the one I did. Not a good sign when the challenge hostess doesn't have her card made yet!

My fave is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas so I used my Merry stamp!!
How cute! I went with that song too, but my card looks vastly different. I used a couple different shades of blue! I couldn't figure out a way to represent Carole of the Bells without it looking like a wedding card.
