I'm starting this thread to let everyone just chat about their thoughts and ideas for future cards---what do you want to do? Where can you find embellishments? Need help in a stamping slump?
I just figured out what to do for my March cards. I'm trying to use Heavenly Heralds on them all so not a lot of coloring. Maybe I can learn to use subtle coloring with pastels? Already tried the bleach technique and am always on the lookout for more.

I'd like some ideas for a Christmasy layout using the Thank You make-n-take from the SU Leadership. I loved the red and the blue and the twill and hardware, now I need to figure out what stamp to use.
This year's CCC06 challenge card (currently back in approval stage because I edited it to include "February") Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
has been a really bulky card that I'll be hand-delivering to neighbors and co-workers (I make up 40 gift baskets and spread holiday cheer that way), but I still need 120 "real" Christmas cards for this year. I'm definitely not a cutesy person (as evidenced in my SCS gallery), and I do want to the use same layout as that Leadership make-n-take. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
There were two make-n-takes at the January SU! Leadership event and SU! offered kits for purchase. I guess they made more kits than were wanted at the event, so SU! offered them for purchase to the rest of the demos.
So my request for creative advice is to figure out what stamp sets to use but keeping the same papers and embellishments (but maybe change them around a bit).
I'm not able to see the first card but...
Happiest of Holidays would fit the small layer with the matching wheels it would look great.
If you have Sweet holidays, the gingerbread would look good with the candy stamps for background.
If you have Sweet seasons, the winter scene would be good (maybe a bit big)
I'm not sure if the snowman from Tags and More is too small, but there is another.
I love Madonna and Child but the Dove might be too small and Mother and Child too big. It's a thought though.

Taryn,
That's a great idea. I already was using Happiest of Holidays and the matching wheel (holly) so maybe I'll use the star elements.
Thanks!

I liked the look of my whilte angel. I might use that in April's card but if I do I will definately emboss next time. I'm not exactly sure what to do with the rest of it. I might have to take a look at the sketch challenges. I want to use Heavenly Herald for all my cards this year so I won't have to rememver what I did for who in future years. It's just so big that it's rather limiting. I'm sure I'll end up doing a pocket card later.

Wow!! You guys are awesome!!!!!! I've been a little out of touch for awhile but you've kept on chugging on those Christmas Cards!! I can't believe it's July already.......where has the time gone?!?!?!?
Congrats to dpierstamper for being the first one done for July IN July!!! If you send me your mailing address, I'll get the prize out to you.
And a big congrats to stace---you were randomly chosen as the June winner!!! Woo Hoo! Send me your mailing address and your prize basket will be on its way!!!
I've been busily working on a once-a-year event (airshow) that was just held so I'm back in the stamping business now. Hopefully I'll be getting an email message out to everyone with an updated spreadsheet in the next few days. Sorry I've been hiding out.......
We're on the downhill slide now so keep those cards coming!!!! :p
I'm so exited with the new catty. The Four Season's Double Sided Paper is PERFECT for a pocket card for the Heavenly Heralds. I've wanted to do a pocket card with the double sided paper but they just weren't Christmasy. There are also many great samples in the new catty to case.
