You are invited to our new stamp club!!
It is open to all SCSers! Every couple of months we'll try to meet for a few hours to share ideas, exchange swaps, craft, munch and chat. We will do a potluck each time, so be sure to post what you'll be bringing each month as well.
We'll have the details for each meeting here as well as a list to sign up. Just post here if you have questions or want to join us.
If you'd like to teach a class, please feel free to post that here as well! We'll rotate through each month so everyone has a chance to share their ideas too.
Be sure to bring your basics to each meeting, i.e. scissors, tape, glue, pops, markers, cutters, etc, plus watch for a list of supplies for that month's project(s). We'll do an exchange of some sort each month too so bring as many as those who have signed up for that month if you want to swap too.

Thanks Everyone for checking in. I'm thinking we aim for the last Saturday of every month unless there are holidays or such that interfere -- such as Christmas or Memorial Day or Thanksgiving months, then we'd move it up or such. What do you think???
Well, I was going to volunteer to teach a class but now looks like I may be in GA for the two weeks prior for work! I may be able to arrange something before then though and will post if so.
Location: On my sunporch- stamping and creating. Enjoying the view :)

Thanks for the link. I am definately out for this one, we have a family dinner that evening. I'll keep checking back and maybe if the weather is good I'll come down for one of the next ones.
Susan-
I'm in for December-I think I'll bring cookies!

DO ANY OF YOU DO COOKIE EXCHANGES DURING THE HOLIDAYS?
I was thinking we might want to do that for our snack? If the group is going to be smaller than normal due to the holidays, we could do some sort of holiday baked goods exchange and make the craft project be a recipe exchange book? Let me know if those of you who are attending would be interested in that? If so, I'd provide the materials for the craft, you just would have to bring your recipes preprinted (size tbd) or I might have you send them to me ahead of time to preformat and print, and the baked goods to exchange plus the potluck/snack amount. THOUGHTS?
I have to figure out whether I can make it for the 18th. My husband's birthday is the day before and we might be celebrating it on that day. I will let you know.
This sounds like a wonderful idea but I live north of Baltimore and it would take me over 1 1/2 hours to get there. I can't do December, but maybe in the future. Will they always be held at the same place?
Hi Sue -- We haven't locked in to just Purcelleville so far... its just a matter of finding a room big enough that we can meet in... and the Purcellville Library was available and has a big room with tables, no charge, adn we can have food/drink too.
Five of us so far for December!!! Come on ladies, you know you want to come and have a nice fun afternoon in the midst of that chaotic time, and get a fun gift in return!
We just made our final counteroffer on the 2nd house we have offered on now.
We are leaving it in the Lord's hands now, praying for His will to be obvious again and take over this decision.
The good news is its a very nice house. The bad news is that it doesn't have a room big enough to host our monthly meetings unless we keep it to small groups, and if you all want to drive this far out anyhow!

Send along my prayers too. I know how stressful all this can be! Having it resolved before the holidays would be wonderful.
GOOD NEWS: They accepted my offer!!! So looks like we are headed down the path of inspection, closing, etc... !
PRAISING GOD AND TESTIFYING OF HIS ANSWERING OF PRAYERS!!! I was praying for an answer when the phone rang and the realtor told me of the offer. Then I called the bank to update them and she was concerned about something on the loan... so while on hold, I was praying hard again, and she came back and not only had it resolved but the interest rate was even 1% lower so the payments went down!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!
Now wondering how many people I can fit around that table in there to host a stamp club meeting....
