Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending August 28, 2011
Welcome to the Clean and Simple Favorites of the Week Thread! Here's our place to celebrate the CAS style by calling out those projects from the past week's gallery uploads that jumped into our Favorites folders! Everyone is invited to share CAS favorites here, and everyone is invited to comment on those cards linked here as well because no matter how carefully you go through the gallery, it is huge and you'll miss some real beauties!
I'll get us started with my favorites from last week...
Heather T, the queen of sponging, tried a new watercolor technique and it turned out beautifully!
Aimes used white-on-white and soft pink to create a stunningly elegant Celebrate card
biggan used one of my favorite quotations and a delighful polka dot feather on her monochromatic IC299 card, plus see how she used the same layout with a different theme (and brads!) on her WT337 Newspaper card
superjen's nod to the Texas flag is fabulous...especially on its kraft base
criminalgrace used soft blue and white with some simply gorgeous glitter on her Dragonfly Note to create a soothing and pretty card
cookiebaker's awesome use of color and stitching caught my eye in her CAS Horizontal Vintage Style card
limedoodle used some creative cutting and fab bling placement to take her clean card to a wonderful level of detail
corinnamcgregor made a Fabulous Pink and Yellow card with a wonderful design and perfect sentiment placement
Daizy-Mae created a little watercolor work of art with her clean and simple scene
Thanks so much to all who posted cards in the gallery this past week. I know I missed a lot with the distraction of the first week of school for my boys, but I can't wait to see what YOU found!
What wonderful cards to recommend...very little gallery time this week, but here are a couple that I found especially lovely:
Harriet's ForeverTogether is a beautiful QFTD CASE
Sallie's Rosh Hashanah 2011
I'll try to post more later, but these are both very special.
Thanks to everyone who posts and recommends CAS cards...you inspire me so! Have a peaceful week.

Welcome back, LateBlossom, and thanks for the honour of asking me to fill in for one of your weeks away. (I didn't get a chance to say it last week as I was away last weekend camping (with no internet access!!!!).
Thank you so much Marie, for mentioning my little obscure Rosh Hashanah card as a favorite. I have deep feelings when I make these for some of my most special friends.
Thank you, Susan, for the recognition you gave my Recycled Candy Cane card.
Hugs to you both, Sallie
Thanks too, Susan, for filling in and doing such a great job for the last couple of weeks on this thread.
Double thanks out today -- to Trish for mentioning my Stacked Blossom, and to Jen for mentioning my Native Americans. I appreciate it so much because I don't normally do CAS cards.
Thanks to both Marie and Susan (Susanbri) for mentioning my Forever Together card! What a great way to being my Sunday. Thanks Karen for letting me know!
