Mandatory Swap(s) (just one of these is mandatory) – PLEASE MAKE UP 21 KITS!!! (plus ooopsies!!) PLUS 3 COMPLETED!
Participating in at least one of these six swaps is part of the “price” of admission so everyone must participate in a swap (plus the shoebox table project is also required). You can, however, participate in any one, some or all of these swaps.
• Card Front Swap - Final Count - 15 Arlene (Arlenevita) will give you some guidance on this swap. See Post #6.

************************************
PLEASE MAKE UP 21 KITS!!! PLUS 3 COMPLETED!
************************************
Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project – Bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not prestamped or prepunched) needed for making your project with EVERYONE. Quality products are mandatory. There are several threads that discuss quality of swaps. Please read them if you are unsure. ALL the shoebox projects will be set out in the morning. You will proceed "round robin" to each of them and do ALL PROJECTS. YOU will move, YOUR PROJECT will not. GOOD DIRECTIONS WILL NEED TO BE POSTED ON YOUR SHOEBOX, you will not demo or be around for everyone to ask questions. When our final count is in, you will know how many kits to make. You will need to bring THREE extra completed shoebox projects (which includes hostess thank yous, and one for your table so that everyone can follow it for directions). Participation in the table shoebox project is mandatory. This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. Make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself. When you KNOW what your card or project is, please post a name for it here or send me a PM. We will all have a check off list the day of the event.
You WILL need 3 completed. One for a sample at the table and one for each of the hostesses. Meg and I will be trying to complete all of the projects, but because of the hectic day we will not be able to complete them all. So we are asking for one from everyone for each of us. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND ...
Because we will need time to do EVERYONE'S shoebox, we WILL NEED TO LIMIT the number of attendees. It will be 30.
Food – Please indicate on the registration sheet the food item you will bring to share. Please be specific; don’t just say “food”! Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts, snacks, canned soda ON ICE and water ON ICE. We love to try your food specialties! We will not have coffee, please plan ahead and bring it along.
“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk.
Goodie Bags – for everyone! Everyone will leave with a bag of fabulous goodies. The goodie bags will all have the same value with some variations in colors, etc.
Door Prizes– We're going to skip door prizes this time. This will give us more time to stamp and "relieve" donors. If you were planning a door prize, please consider donating it to the next gathering. Thank you!!
Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a wrapped gift related to our stamping passion. We will draw for those so that everyone who brings one will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
Other Stuff – Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.
Make and wear a nametag with your name and your SCS name so that we know you on sight.
Don't forget your camera!
Complete the registration form and forward with your $20 payment by 5 pm on Saturday, August 20th. All funds collected will be spent on the event. Your registration is complete when your payment is received. If you have any questions, please ask! Looking forward to seeing you in September.

"Quality" means straight cuts with no crooked, fuzzy edges, tears, wrinkles, etc. (unless that is part of the design), attaching your layers straight (again, unless it's part of your design), and stamping images clearly with fully inked stamps, etc.

RECIPE SWAP 6 x 6
Please make these strong, not just 1 sheet of craft store 59 cent paper. At least 1 embelishment.
and at least 2 layers of card stock. NVR on all product, just make something you would be proud to
receive.
Stamping required somewhere on the card.
this will be a + 1, the +1 will be for a door prize.
This is a great way to get a set of 6"x6" references cards for some new and different techniques.
You will be making a 6" X 6" page with instructions for the technique of your choice and a sample of the finished techique somewhere on the page. An ATC sized sample works well.
If you are looking for a technique, the resources section is a good place to start. The list of past techniques that have already been done at CNY SCS events can be found in the attached Word document. Please check this list before choosing your technique (and keep in mind that the technique may have more than one name). PM me with any questions!
1. Heidi (HLW966) - reinker spreader
2. Gayla (snowcountry311) - paper beads
3. Pat (scraphead) - diamond fold
4. Meg (momoffive) - napkin fold
5. Lisa (Runs with scissors) - Stamping resist
6. Nancy (njbaker) - brayered batik
7. Robin (nytripletmommy) -rolled ribbon flower

encase you were unsure.(encase sure looks funny. but i double checked webster!)
I think you want "in case". Encase means to be enclosed in something. Hmmm... we are kinda encased in a stamping cult....ummm...never mind...I think you were right the first time! LOL.
OOHH!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can come!! This might be the same date as our unit "Half-Way Through the Deployment" shin-dig.....Am waiting to hear back on the date we were shooting for.....
WAH. :( Just got confirmation that the event is the same date...sigh....(hangs head in self-pity)
