Taking the Leap- Question about Separating my Sets
Ok, after MUCH research here, I'm going to take the leap. I'm going to separate my sentiment sets and group them by sentiment. I really only want to break apart the sentiment ones for now though.
My question is: What are ya'll doing with those sets that are sentiments, but have a random image included- Like the set "Three Little Words" What are you doing w/that flower if you break apart your sets? I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this so I don't regret it afterwards. TIA.
The flower would go in the "flowers" section. The main thing is to keep a log or file showing all the stamp images that go with each set. That way if you ever need to pull the set back together, you have something to reference that tells you what to look for.
I loved having my sets separated like this. The only reason I don't still is that I signed up to be an SU demo and figured it was better for demonstration purposes to keep sets intact.
like Betsy, I put flowers together or graphic shapes or insects so a spare one of them would go with their category. The only time I keep the images with their sentiment is if it is something that needs the image to make sense. Like "We're MOOOOOving" with a cow picture or something.
I guess that would depend on how you're storing the rest of your sets. If you're just separating the sentiments, then how are you keeping the rest? In alphabetical order? Occasion order (e.g., birthdays, children, masculine, etc.)?
I'm keeping the rest of the sets in tact... storing them by theme. Kind of like the categories they are in the catalog. But I just have a few single stamps that are leftover from the sentiments that I'm not sure what to do with? Maybe I'll just make a set from the leftovers?
