Qbee's Origami Shirt Instructions (Father's Day Shirt)
Here are the instructions I created for making the origami shirt which can be used as a Father's Day Shirt or a Hawaiian Shirt. Here is a sample of the shirt in use from the gallery:
If you want to add a tie to the father's day shirt there are good instructions at the web site below. It's best to tie the tie first and then slip it around the collar. I used an 11" piece of 3/8" wide grosgrain ribbon.
This is great...can't wait to try it. I always have trouble with origami, but maybe I can get this one right!

Qbee... your a dream! I totally appreciate your going the extra mile to not only share your beautiful creations, but kind enough to share the templates, instructions and other necessary information for the rest of us to try our hands on creations! Your the best!!!!!!
I always do this with dollar bills that I leave for tips in restaurants. I put a quarter at the top for a head (washington, you know) and any other bills underneath for a skirt. Always brings a smile to their faces (I lurk and watch!)

I'm dyslexic and I just can't follow the shirt directions, can someone draw them explaining what side of the paper I'm using, no matter how I fold it just doesn't come out right. I need simple directions for a two year old, if possible :-)
I had a really hard time following the template (I'm more of a visual learner), so I typed in origami shirt on YouTube and was able to see loads of videos actually "showing" how to do this. They are so cute and I never would have thought to do this if I had not seen your post! Thanks for the fabulous idea!
I love these origami shirts ! Your instructions were very detailed.....the only this is that I have had a problem making these "shirts" ...no matter whose pattern I follow....although I think I might try this techinque once more....I loved your card ! Thanks so much for sharing this !
