WT328 - No White Cardstock (6-23-11)
Hello everyone! Welcome back to Thursday's Ways to Use it Challenge
Most of us use white for our base whether we stamp or print digital images and color. Today, the challenge is
NO WHITE Cardstock on your card
Absolutely none - not for the image, not for any matting or die cut embellisments.
Think you can do it? I'm excited to see what you all come up with.
Here's my two samples for today's challenge:
Fairy Wings &
Star Sleeper
Here's Toni's (ravengirl) card
Here's Michelle's (tygerpaws11) card
REMEMBER, use Keyword
WT328 when uploading your card.
WT328 No White CardStock Gallery here
Need any help linking your card to this thread ?
1. Open 2 windows - One window for YOUR card location (after you've uploaded it; and one window for THIS thread.
2. In THIS thread, click on REPLY and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to YOUR card window & Highlight the web address for your card (it will be something like this www . splitcoaststampers . com / gallery / etc.)
4. Click EDIT ... Then click COPY
5. Go back to THIS thread & click PASTE
Voila! You're all set
Here's Michelle's sample:

Really a good challenge, Collette.......and a HARD one too. I keep a BIG stack of white CS at arm's reach all the time! : ) It was fun to think in another direction. Thanks for your challenge today......it keeps us growing creatively! : )

This is the first time I'm linking a card to a thread....not to computer savvy. We had a stamp class last nite on building a blossom set. When I came home and saw the challenge, I knew it would work. I also notice this morning when I took a picture of it my faux stitching is not straight...must have been that second glass of wine. Thanks Collette for this great challenge.

This was tricky! I think I pretty much ALWAYS use some piece of white!

I did use vintage cream - hope that's ok - it's NOT white!?!!! LOL!!

Ok, I used cream cardstock. This may not be in the spirit of the challenge, but it does fit the letter of the challenge.

Here's a couple of cards with no white cardstock on them anywhere:
Cowboy Up
Faux Leather Cowgirl
It's fun to use kraft for our main cardstock color instead of white or vanilla. Thanks for a great challenge!!

What a really fun challenge! I do feel like I cheated by just using Vanilla. I want to try this one again with No WHITE or No Vanilla!
Very CHALLENGING!
-Thanks!

Sorry about the image quality. My husband took my camera to DD's riding class this morning and I had to use my camera phone. The only white I used was limited to a few tiny white pearls. Hope their use is okay.

Here is my 8x8 scrapbook page for this challenge. I did not use white but there is ecru paint and paper that actually has brown and yellow tones through it but hard to see in the photo.
Thanks for the fun challenge.

All the projects so far look absolutely LOVELY - It's nice not to use white once in a while.
