I have an embossing folder that is of a Fall Scene. I want to run it through my Cuttlebug, then color it. What is the best way to color the raised side? :-) LM
you could ink up a rubber brayer and roll color on, or use an ink pad for the direct to paper tech, which is just rubbing the inkpad across the paper. or apply ink with a sponge

I think the bristles on a brush would get in between the embossed areas. A dauber, q-tip or stencil brush would work. All work well with inks. In fact, I think a stencil brush would work better than a paint brush because you hold the stencil brush upright rather than an angle.
Hi LM, If you look in my gallery back to Nov 2010 I did a Fall scene EB folder. I lightly wiped a sponge over the raised area then used my blender pen and the tops of my SU ink pads to color the leaves etc. I don't know if it is the same one but this might help.

If you have markers you might find that worth trying. Some people mentioned finding it hard on the marker nibs, so don't use your best ones. But I'll be using this technique again, I really liked the effect.
