You might be better off trying to sell them here or online somewhere. I had a yard sale last spring and it seemed that no one wanted to buy anything over $5 and most SU sets are worth way more than that!
What kind of prices do you put on Stampin Up stamp sets to sell at a garage sales? Clueless and I have a load....it is time to weed big time.

When people go to yardsales, they are looking for bargains. I agree with previous poster. If you need to get more money for them, post them here or ebay or somewhere that people understand their value. I won't pay more than $5 for a set at a yardsale (unless it is one that I really really wanted and is retired....)
I put a bunch up at my garage sale a few weeks ago for $3 to $8 and none of them sold. Even advertised them on Craigslist. Most of the gals who looked said they weren't buying retired sets or that they already had them. Decided to keep the ones I still like and donated the rest to charity.
I would think for a garage sale, you might have more luck breaking up the sets and selling each stamp for like 25 cents to 1 dollar, depending on the size. For some reason, people will buy stamps for a quarter or two, but not a while set for $3. KWIM?
I guess I'd try to post the list here first, then try the garage sale route. Last time I had a sale with stamps, I used clear 8x10 acrylic box frames. Put up a sign saying that people could buy however many individual stamps fit into the tray for $5. That could consist of lots of little stamps, a few large stamps, or any mixture thereof. They just had to fit (without stacking) into the frame. (And the frame stayed with me, lol...purchase did not include that, just the stamps.)
They sold pretty well. I, of course, was sick at heart, knowing how much I'd paid for all those stamps. My husband was just as pleased as punch, of course!
I'm in Canada and I live in an area that's very saturated with cardmakers, but I had priced about 100 different sets at $5-$30 and I only have 3 sets left. I offered my customers first chance and they purchased about 80 of them, the rest I sold at my garage sale. I'm sure I would have sold more at the garage sale if I had them, they were flying off the shelf!
Every year at my new catalog open house I have a big sale. I put all of my retired sets on sale for 1/2 price. I maake a big production out it...I advertise heavily for my open house and then the sets are all covered over until the unveiling. Every year, I only have a few sets left. It helps me to get started in the new catty!
Whenever I sell anything, I always price it at whatever *I* would personally pay for it used, not at how much I WANT to sell it for. Saves me a lot of headache ;)
I would try here on the BST forums, or yardsellr.com ... buyers with protons ("free" credits that are used like $$) wanting to buy stamps and more! (protons are for the buyers...the sellers get paid real cash, not credits.)
I sold a bunch of mine at our LSS at their garage sale. I got store credit and was suprised at how much sold! I priced mine $5 for a small set $10 for a medium set and $15 for a large set. Oh and a couple of $1 items as well that I just really wanted to see gone!
