Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2011 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "SBC11May"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

I totally messed up last month. With my daughter being out of school for half the month and all the holiday stuff, I only completed 6/20! I have a lot of things going on this month as well, so I'm going to shoot for 10 for sure and then try to finish up my lacking of last month.

*SHOCK :o* I totally forgot it was May 1 today...WHAT HAPPENED TO APRIL????!!!!
I'm so far behind I'm not sure what to make my goal. May is the last month of school so it can get very hectic but I'm hoping it'll still be easier than the past few months. I'm in the hole about 15 pages plus another 10 this month to keep on track. I think I'll divide the 15 into the next three months and just add 5 to my 10 for this month making 15 my goal for May. Hopefully I can get back on track for my annual goal by the end of summer. Next year I'm not volunteering near as much (she says supressing the guilt)!
Sure will be nice when I can get back to scrapping regularly!
Hi ladies! Well, I am going to be out of town for quite a bit in May so, I am going to just do a goal of 10 pages this month...so far this year, I have completed 85 pages!!! WOO HOO!

You can keep me down for 12 again this month with four already done today!! I just returned home from my LSS crop, I have all my stuff put away and am busy taking pictures so I can post them.
I finished 19 pages all together over the long week end. I was happy that I could complete some today which counts for Mays goal. I will post the last of Aprils LO's in a little bit. I even have two for the challenge of passed over supplies.

Wow 19 pages over the week-end!? that has to be some kind of record, doesn't it? Can't wait to see them.
May already! Well, and I did 8 pages in April! So I will still set a goal of 5 pages a month, for 60 for the year. But I have a total of 31 done YTD. I am excited for VSBN this week. Also, I can't wait to do a page for the Passover challenge! I just reorganized my embellishments, and I have jars of eyelets and brads, so guess what I will be using? Wendy your Jonas pages were fantastic! Okay isn't it more fun to do than digi?? Playing with all those eyelets? LOL!

Been there, done that, MP! It took a while but I finally learned the word "NO" and how to keep my mouth shut.
Well, I *think* I'm back!?!
My little Phoenix Vianne was born on Feb 17th at 6lbs and 9oz. She is the sweetest little baby but HOLY COW! Mommyhood is W.A.Y. harder than I imagined. The post-partum period is the best kept secret in womanhood! Even being an ob/gyn I had no idea what to expect when I took that precious little bundle home!
I went back to work after 6 weeks and am blessed that my husband is home playing super dad! He brings her to me just about evey day to nurse her over the lunch hour. Things are great... now if I could just get out of these maternity clothes...
So my goal for May is 2 pages. I don't know HOW some of you ladies crank out 4 pages in a day! I only wish! I'm sooo slow. Here is my first page though. I forgot to put SBC11MAY in the keywords so it won't show up in the gallery :( I've obviously been away too long!
Wow, I totally blew my goal for April. I only finished 3 in April, bringing my grand total for the year to 34. TO reverse this sad trend, I'm going to do a Layout a Day (LOAD) for April. I already worked with my hubby on a household to do list for the week (for me, not him), so hopefully I can balance that list with my scrapbooking, thus making both of us happy. My first page is almost done, so I'll post it tomorrow.
Welcome back, Lynley. Great page! Is this for the beginning of her baby book? I love all the questions. Now that she's been born, it would be fun to do one with some of the answers.
I've been doing awful this year.
I've got a three day scrap retreat this month though. I'm gonna do some catch up.
Trying for 40 pages this month! (whoa! I think I can, I think I can)
Melina, don't feel badly I think we've all had moments like that. I just keep thinking that Scrapbooking shouldn't be stressful ... but we all would like to have more pages done! ;)

Good Luck with Balance Cheryl! It's tricky esp when you kiddo's are younger. I'm thinking you're going to do a LOAD (LayOut A Day) for May? I may not get a layout done but I hope to upload to my blog daily...we'll see!

Yes, Lela, I plan to do LOAD for May, not April. See how out of it I am? Balance, I need you! LOL.

The sad thing is I've 'been there done that' too...but somehow it crept back into my life little by little. Last year was actually busier so I did cut back but still doing too much (or getting too old???).

Welcome back Linley & welcome baby Phoenix!!!! Glad to see you're back and yes...postpartum is a B! Can't wait to see those baby pages and see you're little Phoenix!

I think it's a combination, MP! Happens to the best of us! :p
I got to 9 for my April goal of 10. Since May is National Scrapbook Month I set myself a lofty goal of being able to post a scrapbook page a day on my blog.... that means I need 25 for May! ....thaaats optimistic of me!
I so understand the whole needing balance and needing to learn to say no to things..! I'm so out of it that on facebook today it said it was someone's birhtday and I said out loud "her birthday isn't in February its in ...oh. May. yikes." Perhaps with this week supposed to be warming up {finally} I can believe its May, but we had snow three days last week!
Welcome back Lynley and congratulations on your new little one!!

Good Luck Cheryl!!! I've fallen out of being able just to do one a week with ya'll  Maybe I'll try this in June...
Mary Pat, I miss your submissions on my blog. Maybe you should work up to a LOAD challenge by re-starting the one layout a week challenge first! Hope things calm down for you so you get more time to relax and do fun stuff.
I'm going to set my goal this month to 4. Hopefully the mini VSBN will help me achieve that goal and maybe go beyond. My DGS just started baseball and I've got some super pics of his first game that are just begging to be scrapped!
