Scrappin' Challenge 2011

Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.

It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...

What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.

*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *

You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!

SCS 52 Week Thursday Goal Challenge!
This year on Thursdays you'll be invited to join us for our 52 Week Scrap Challenge. These challenges will be PERFECT whether you're working on your kids albums, 2011 Family Album, Daily Life Album or a "BOM" (Book of Me).

By the end of the year, you'll have some GREAT pages or a complete 2011 Scrapbook...OR BOTH! :mrgreen:

Scrappy Sisters,

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:

1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!

Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )

You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play

Half of the year is almost over, so that means I need to be up to half my goal by the end of this month. I am going to shoot for 15 pages this month since DD is out of school for the first week and who knows what else will come up! If I go over, great

Whew, let's get this party started. Placed a HUGE (400 prints) order the other day and I am determined to do my wedding scrapbook this month! So, the hope is that I WAY exceed the 20 pages BUT, I will just leave the goal at 20 for now ;)

Anyone headed any place fun for vacation this month?!!?

Okay, I have played all morning with my new laptop! Now down to business!
I scrapped 10 pages in May, and have donw 41 pages so far this year.

So if I raise my goal does that automatically make if for every month or can I just raise it for one month? with VSBN coming up I thought I could do more like I did last month.

I would like to set it for 10 this month.

Got you beat...I ordered 865 pictures last week :shock: That's gonna be a LOT of pages! :mrgreen: I'm going to aim for 20 this month even though it'll be a busy month...we'll see if I can actually reach that goal! My dad is coming for a couple days and we're planning a trip down to Dover.

I fell a tad short this month but I will keep working towards my yearly goal. I will have lots of pictures this summer.....now to see how many pages I can put out using those pictures. As hot as the summer looks to be shaping up (over 100 today) I will be spending plenty of time indoors.

Michele's variety challenge for The End of something got me started again,
then when I saw that Wendy had done that banner challenge that helped me to decide how to do the title. I knew what the title would be , just didnt' know how I was going to do it! Takes lots of things to get me going! LOL

In any month you can pick whatever number of pages you'd like to shoot for--it can change from month to month!

I can't believe May is over! I got 7 pages done in May. I am setting my goal at 10 pages for June. I hope to go over that because VSBN is this month but I also have VBS this month and I am the director so super busy with that. I am at 61 pages for the year so far.

865 photos --- WOW! That is a lot of pages. That would keep me busy for a very long time.

Excited to see your Paris pages Sharon. We are going for the 1st time on November 12th. I can't wait to see Paris! Then we'll head over to Germany to go to our farm show. We take 30 customers with us every "odd" year -- tour the country a bit -- and always go to the farm show.

Good Morning!!!!

I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since I've been here last! I didn't get anything done after the mini and my room is a wreck! Fortunately, my girls finished school yesterday so I can finally get back into my scrap space starting...most likely Monday. DH has off Fridays for the summer and not sure if we're doing anything or not this weekend to celebrate the end of school.

My June goal is to be in my craft room every day Mon-Thurs for at least an hour so I can reorganize my space and to get some pages done! I'm still going to set my goal to 12 but am hoping to do more than that.

Unfortunately today is a busy day so I'm off to get it started.

hmm...I posted last night but it isn't here. Oh well, we got new internet this morning so hopefully the problems will be solved! I THINK my June goal was going to be 20, lol. (I was coming back to check, actually) Between kids out of school, projects and work, I am hoping to swing that much. I blew my May goal out of the water completing my digi book in time, and I'd like to keep up that level of inspiration going. But I do need to switch gears and get cards done too. decisions, decisions!

Well, I fell off the wagon at the very end of May. I guess I ran out of pictures and mojo at the same time, so I only completed 27 of the 31 layout I wanted to do. I will keep telling myself that it’s okay, and it is certainly many more than the three I completed in April! For June, I plan to scale back to 15, but I need to start today if I’m going to get them done. I’m off to scrap.

I'm going to shoot for 4 again this month.

Wow! 400 pictures printed and 865 printed! I've got too many old ones printed that I'll probably end up scanning to scrap

I ordered 6 prints on Sunday of my Renaissance Faire pages from Persnickety Prints and got them today! These are my very FIRST printed 12x12 digital pages I've ever had actually printed out and boy, are they gorgeous! I have been so afraid to have my pages printed but after today, I'm anxious to convert all my photoshop files to jpegs and print print print!m Now I'll have to buy an album to put them all in!
