Default Spellbinders Grid with Images

2/17/12 Update: Hello, everyone. Thank you everyone for posting your appreciation. I have A LOT going on in my life right now and am unable to update the grid with new dies. I apologize. I am also unable to email the word doc. Once I get some normalcy back to my life, I'll do my best to provide an updated grid. Thank you VERY much. And thanks for understanding.

I had created this grid to keep track of my Spellbinders and thought my fellow SCS-ers could use it too.

KalaKitty was able to create a reformattable PDF. I have attached her version of the pdf here (it can also be found on post # 45). HUGE thanks!!!

Hi Hotwheels. The file is on my computer at work. I won't be back in the office until next Wednesday. I will upload a file that you can mark when I get back to the office.

I'm so glad people can use this.

Happy Holidays everyone.

This is great, I look forward to the other file as well. I didn't realize there were so many Spellbinders.

Thank you.

Brenda this is soooo cool. I am amazed at how helpful you all are on this site. I have saved the file. I had a file that lists the nesties, but never one that included pictures too. Thank you.

Came back in to ask this same question. I do NOT want to appear ungrateful, because I love this file! But I agree it would be so helpful to be able to mark the ones we want or have without printing it out. Thanks so much for doing this for us bjlee717!! You are so sweet.

Hello ladies....Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

The word file was too large for me to upload, so I created a pdf file with the ability to mark off boxes. Hope this helps everyone.

Hi Brenda,

This helps if you plan to print it off, but again, for those of us who just wanted to check them off and save the file, we can't do that. Unless I am doing something wrong?? Adobe will allow me to check them off and print it then, but it won't allow me to save the file with the checks in the boxes. Thank you for trying anyway. I appreciate it. I especially loved having the pictures to go with them so you could see what they were.

Hi Kathy. What you want to do is save the pdf with the checkbox to your computer first. Then, when you mark off the boxes you should be able to save it and when you open the file back up, the boxes you checked off should remained checked off. Hope this makes sense. I just tried doing it myself and it worked. LMK if I can help.

I tried that Brenda, but it tells me it will not save my file and if I want a copy of it with it filled in, I need to print it. I have Adobe Reader 9. Could that be the problem??

Awesome! Thanks for the share...wish I had so many that I needed to make such a document! LOL

But still this helps in making my decision of which set to add to my collection this month. Love cutathome.com and their 40% off!:p

So are the rest of you able to open it, click on the boxes, and then save it again? Mine will allow me to click on the boxes, but it brings up a box that says it will not save it with my checks and if I want a copy, I must print it. I have been looking at my preferences and the properties of the file, but can't seem to find anything to change that would allow me to save a changed copy.

That could be it. I have the professional version (not just the Reader) which allows me to create forms. I'll see if I can figure something out.

I am not able to save it either- well I can save it but it will only save a blank copy of it: otherwise I have to print it.

Thumbs up

Brenda emailed me the file, but I have slow dial up. I still worked it out! I had a friend who has dsl so I forwarded the email to her, she downloaded it to a flash (thumb) drive and I picked it up this morning! It works wonderfully. Already marking the ones I have and want. Keep in mind that it's a 22MB file, but if you have dsl, shouldn't be a problem. ALso remember, it is a Word Document so you will have to have Microsoft Word to open it properly. Thanks again to Brenda. I give her the "above and beyond" award for 2010 on this one! By the way, went to Michaels this afternoon and lo and behold what do I find on the end cap? Nestabilities!!!!! Yeah, Central Pennsylvania is catching up!

bjlee717,
I'm not sure how to explain this since I'm not at work right now and don't have access to the full Adobe version.

I make fill in forms at work and there is an option you have to choose when making these forms that allows the user to save a form that has been filled in using Reader. I think this option is under "Document" or "Tools". If you want more information on this Let me know and I can send you more info when I get back to work on Tuesday.

I wondered if that might be the case. I wonder if you go back to where you originally saved it and check that option, maybe then it would allow us to save our filled in versions?Of course you'd have to post the new saved version then.

I tried something different with Adobe's "security". Can someone try to open, check, and save the new file and see if it works?

Sorry Brenda, it still didn't allow it to save with changes. Thanks for trying. I didn't have any trouble opening it and saving the copy though.

Brenda, I researched a bit and think this is our answer:

Question: When I fill out a PDF form in the browser, then save it to my local disk, the form is saved but all the data I entered has disappeared. How do I save the form so that it includes my data input?

Answer: Unfortunately you can't save any changes to a PDF document unless you have the full version of the Acrobat software installed. The free Acrobat Reader will allow you to save a local copy of the file but you won't be able to save any changes you make such as filling out form fields.

Please note: If you don't have the full product, don't worry, it is possible to use Acrobat Reader to print filled-out forms from the web site.

I work with fill-in forms all the time. You have to have the full Adobe (or similar product like Nitro) to create the fill-in PDF form. You must save it with the option Advanced ~ Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader. This will allow users to fill in the form, save it and go back later and make changes on it.

That would be awesome!

Thank you for the help...unfortunately, I have a different version (works with my office's client management system) and I cannot find anywhere on my version of Adobe that allows me to change the usage rights. Too bad. Thanks for trying though.

When I have time later this week, I may try to create a word dob that isn't so big...pictures may be small, but once you all download it, you can resize the pictures.
