MMTPT140 ~ HELP ME OUT! DON'T BE LAZY! I CAN'T CLEAR THAT BIG OLE DAISEY!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #140
HELP ME OUT!
DON'T BE LAZY!
I CAN'T CLEAR THAT BIG OLE DAISEY!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Well, we survived April Fools Day, although that doesn't mean that the Teapotters didn't try to Fool me last week! I honestly didn't even know what was going on! Hey, I am not the sharpest teapotter at the teaparties! Snort! Can't believe its April already! It won't be long before this winter is officially behind us! I know that in some places your winter is just beginning and well, I just don't know what to say about that! How about, Nanner, Nanner Boo Boo!
2. Meet Cheshire the Flyer (formerly Scrubby the Chubby) and Butterfly Barney! Their friendship started when Butterfly Barney kept landing on Scrubby the Chubby's fat little belly while basking in the sun on his favorite little mat on the patio bench. There's just something about a butterfly on one's belly that is so relaxing and mesmerizing! Life is good! Well, except for the taunting and teasing which is not so pleasing! You see, the cats in the hood think he's simply no good! They say he's lazy, slow and fat, an embarrassment to a cat! He's eats, then he sleeps, he just naps on his mat. The cats in the hood simply don't act like that!
3. He never really worried about the cats in the hood but Butterfly Barney thinks its not healthy for a cat to just nap like that! Butterfly Barney says exercise is wise! That's easier said than done when you don't weigh a ton, when your wings help you fly way up high in the sky! If only I could fly, oh my! Butterfly Barney has offered his wings and promised to try it if Scrubby would diet! Now it's Cheshire, the Flyer that takes off in flight and Barney just struggles with all of his might!
4. When I said we could try it, you promised to diet! Help me out, don't be lazy, I can't clear that big ole daisy! Look at us, we have landed! It was you, single handed! Look at me, I'm a flyer, let's go higher, yah higher! Let's do it some more, let's really soar! Call the cats in the hood, they can watch, life is good! Look at us, we have landed! That is twice, oh how nice! It's really quite dandy, this daisey's so handy! Where's the cats in the hood? Bring them here if you would! Cheshire the Flyer will never tire! Bring them on, bring them here! Bring them from far and from near! Who's lazy now, not me, no how! Butterfly Barney, you da man! To help a friend, you do all that you can!
Butterfly Barney is pooped! His wings have even drooped! If we don't get some cats to witness this feat, Cheshire the Flyer could be called a big liar and Barney's hard work would all be for naught. On this special day, Scrubby the Chubby became Cheshire the Flyer by way of a friend. Yep, it was Butterfly Barney!
TEAPOT TUESDAY TRANSLATION STATION:
Bring some cats from the hood! Bring a card using cat images to the teaparty! And I suppose, if you wanna bring some butterflies that would be acceptable also as Butterfly Barney might need some help! If you bring dogs or butterfly catchers with nets you have to come in the back door as that could spur an uproar at our teaparty!
TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION:
This week's destination is Emmet, Idaho. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Linda, a long time friend of fellow SCSer/Teapotter Leigh Grady. Linda fell down the stairs a couple of years ago and twisted her spine so badly that she has had to have almost every vertebrae fused. She's had spinal surgery after spinal surgery, her most recent was just last month when she had yet another vertebrae fused in her neck. Linda could use a little bright spot in her life. Receiving our cards would do her a world of good.
For more information about Linda including the mailing address please visit Post#204 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Linda. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT140 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Friday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater! If you dont' want to cheat, I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it sometimes during the weekend before the next Tuesday!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
Loved your teapot this week, Cindy. Thanks, Leigh, for the great digi image that we could use...I did! Hope all of our cards bring some cheer to Linda.
My card for this week's challenge can be found here

Guess it's the back door for me this week! A cat you'll never find in my images! Dogs yes, but cats no. That's okay, I'm used to go through the back door.

This sweet big ol' kitty caused me all kinds of grief. The kitty and the big honkin daisy were the only easy parts. You would have laughed, it may have come to your attention that I have this OCD thing with centering things and symmetry. That cats wings couldn't stay the way they were so although they added character to the image I traded them out for a matched set! Here is my "If Cats Could Fly".
Oh boy I had fun making these cards! This card is the one I'm sending to Linda.
This is my Angel Kitty (thank you so much Leigh, for the super cute digi - my first time working with one!) This card is going to my friend/hairdresser for her birthday on Saturday. She just lost one of her cats so I think she'll really love this! Hmmmm . . . seems to be a purple theme running rampant in my card-making! Thx for checking these out! It's late here too but I wanted to pop in to the Teaparty tonight. Will be back to comment throughout the next couple of days!
Thx for another great challenge Cindy (and love your teapot!)
well darn, I don't have a cat in my stash, or my stamps!!!
Sharon...neither did I, but Google images has all kinds of things you can print off and color. Here's MY CARD with a google image.
