Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2011 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "SBC11Apr"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

Thank you Lela for starting this thread already!!! Since I didn't accomplish a single thing in March, I am ready to move past my failure and on to progress. I will be a better scrapbooker...I will be a better scrapbooker... I will be a better scrapbooker.
With that being said I've had to take a step back and re-evaluate my monthly goals because I still want to come in at the end of the year with 52 pages and 52 cards. So, my revised goal for this month is 6 pages and 6 cards. And since I am off work for the next four days I should be able to get a good start on it!!
I am totally looking forward to seeing all your creations this month!:p
I'm hoping for a less busy April...but who knows! :-) I'd like to at least catch up for my annual goal so I need 17 pages. I have a crop next Thursday (@ Scrapbook Expo if any of you are attending) that I'm totally unprepared for but hopefully I'll find the time this weekend.

Jenn, welcome back! Don't feel bad about March. If it wouldn't have been for a Crop I went to with Michele (fmtinsley) I would be rowing the same boat... I did nothing else. I'm asking the same question, where did the time go in March & why didn't I get anything crafty accomplished? :o
Thank goodness for April being here. I'm thinking that with some time off coming up I should feel more MOJO to get some scrap pages and cards done!

Oh No OH NO!! Don't let it be April............I have to get crackin!?!:???: Put me down for 12 the month of April. I will have one more posted by the end of the day.
10 once again for me. Can't believe it is April already. Have our grandsons until the 6th, then work a couple of days, then back to Arizona at the end of April to hopefully finish setting up our new home. The days just keep flying by.

I exceeded my goal for March, which made up for dismally failing in February! So this month, I'll aim for the same number I accomplished in March--15 pages.
Come on Jennipher---you can do it! Get that scrappin' mojo goin'!!
OK Ladies...typically I aim for 10 pages a month..Jan and Feb, I exceeded that...March I fell short...BUT I am going to a weekend crop here in a couple weeks AND getting married soon (who doesn't LOVE a wedding album?!?!?) So, I am going to say 30 pages for APRIL! Whew!

Putting my name in for 10 pages for April (5 Fridays x 2). I may work ahead for May/Jun, but I'll stick with my goal and then see what happens. Might get a scrappy day to myself tomorrow

Because you said it, it is so!!! I created a scrapbook page today. Waiting for it to dry and I'm gonna scan it in and attach it to this thread. I can't post it in the gallery because it is for a special design team project at Christian Paper Crafts but, I think it would be okay to attach it here. ;)
I managed to meet my March goal plus a little, so I'm back in for 10 more pages. Just found out one of my friends is pregnant so it looks like I'll be doing another baby album this year....oy! I thought I was done with those for a while!

Your wedding? How exciting!!! We'll definitely be looking for some wedding pages soon--congratulations on your upcoming day!
I did my 5 pages in Jan. and I think 13 in Feb (because of VSBN), and back to 5 in March. So, please put me down for 5 and 60 total for the year. If I do that, that will be a first!!!!
Now, I haven't been on for a few days, was locked off or something... Anyway, lots of new pages in the gallery. You girls have really been working the last few days! Off to the gallery to look at your work and comment!

Thanks Wendy and Jennipher! I am VERY excited! It is a quiet affair as we have both been married before...so just moms and dads and his child present...and then we have invited all of our friends "out to dinner"...they won't know that we have tied the knot until they arrive at the restaurant and there is a party going on!!

I second that for me too Lela. If it wasn't for my sample pages for the Scrapbook Variety Challenges and the scrapbook retreat, I would not have gotten much done.
I did 28 pages in march which puts me at 50 for year to date. I am setting my goal at 10 for April. We are going to Disney in 10 days and I may do digital pages for it but can't decide.

I've decided that future vacations will be digital or shutterfly Michele, to ensure that my kids get to look at them before they are 5 yr old pictures . I'm determined to make sure they get to enjoy their pictures. I love that our 2010 Summer vacation album is neatly standing on our LR shelf for viewing anytime (from shutterfly)... and I could use a blast of summer soon... snow again tomorrow... blech!
jealous of Disney ;)

Totally know what you mean there. I can't give up the paper aspect of scrapbooking but, where on earth did I get the idea that I would print my photos at home? I still have a handful of photos to scrap from a trip to Myrtle Beach back in 2007 before I can close the doors are that album.
I have changed my style somewhat - I'm going CAS so that my pages are easier and quicker to do. They still look nice, but don't take days to complete one page. And I can actually finish an album. hmmm - so I wonder why I still have so many to do?

because no matter how fast we scrap, life keeps on happening...;) the reality that we can't stop moments in time so we can get caught up... (I just spent a bunch of my free day uploading pics to print because all of a sudden there's so many more pics!) All good, but I think it's the reality that we face. Just keep up the good work!

I can't believe today is April 1 already and I feel like I'm drowning in all things non-scrapbooking...I need to scrapbook (or at least clean my room)! I've been organizing and putting craft items together (along with my troop) for our Camporee this weekend for 110 Harry Potter campers & 60 Fairyland campers...at least my Cricut has been getting used for something! Today I'm packing my DDs bags for the weekend and in an hour I need to get to DD2s Spring Concert at school. Then back home about 2 to finish packing my girls then labeling what stays & what comes back to me of the craft supplies...load the car with all the bags, food, projects, supplies...then go to camp (luckily we're only 15 minutes from it) and help set up. The campers arrive at 5:30 PM, I'm hanging out until hopefully no later than 8PM then home to my DH. It's our 19th Anniversary on Monday and we are spending the weekend (well really just all Saturday) alone. I go back to get my DDs Sunday around 10:30 AM. I'm hoping if I'm not too exhausted (still recovering from a nasty sinus infection ~ 11 days later!) I can get into my craft room for a few hours this weekend to organize and get ready for the crop on Thursday. Doesn't sound like too much when I'm writing this down but I'm still overwhelmed...must be because I'm recovering from being sick.
I hope your weekend is much more laid back and you all enjoy yourselves! Hopefully I can catch up soon...so sorry I didn't get to leave comments on your March pages. I did look from your links and they were all FABULOUS! You are all making me CRAVE scrapbooking!
Wow, MP, what a busy day you have! Happy Anniversary early and enjoy your weekend!
On the digi Disney album, I was planning on doing it digi except just have the pages printed and not bound. I ordered the CM Disney digi CD which has click and fill pages and have found some other free digi stuff online that would work well for Disney pages. Not sure I like the Click and fill idea though. where's the personal and creative touch in that? I also like the depth and dimension I can get with traditional pages. Besides, I have several Disney cartridges for my Cricut and have already designed a few other disney characters with my Make the Cut software. oh, what to do! Maybe a little of both. I came up with a neat idea for a dps using the hidden Mickeys if we find any. Can't wait to see how it develops.
No scrapping for me this weekend. I really need to clean out my closet and find my warm weather clothes to pack.
I do need a volunteer to take the Scrapbook Variety Challenge for the Wednesday I will be gone - April 13th. Send me a PM if you are interested.
Well...my stamp & scrapbooking materials have been in boxes for the better part of the last four years as we have moved a couple of times...but I am SO looking forward to joining in with others in setting goals to get all of my pics into books! For the first time I have an actual dedicated crafting space to work in that is not disruptive to the rest of the house if I am in the middle of something and need to leave it and that is SO FUN!
I'd like to sign up to do 10 pages for the month of April...and as I put that in print I am glad that I was already able to put my pictures in order!

Welcome, Daphne, and congrats on your scrapbooking space. Having a dedicated place to scrapbook is so helpful when it comes to actually getting pages scrapped! Otherwise, out of sight, out of mind.
For this month, I think I can completed 15 pages. I would love to do more, but we're leaving on vacation tomorrow, so no scrapping for 10 days, and then I counted how many commitment-free days I have left, so 15 seems like the max I can achieve. I guess if I get on a roll and exceed my goal, it will be happy bonus time!

That's what Wendy does with her 8x8's and after looking at prices for 12x12 digis to print, I think I like it. It gives you the best of both worlds without giving you a $10 double page spread!
happy packing!

The pages I've had printed so far I had them printed at Scrapbooks Please. The premium matte finish is $2.49/page. I had 9 pages printed a few weeks ago when they had a 50% off sale. CM has come down on their page print prices too. I haven't checked the archival quality of the printer ink I have. Need to do that and maybe try Wendy's method.
BTW, Wacom is giving away a Bambook Craft pen/tablet. You download a free digi kit and use it to make a page to submit for the contest. Here is the link.
Alrighty my scrappy friends, my page is lonely (once approved)...
it's digi, but I do have 3 other pages laid out and ready for assembly on my table (will order pics Sun/Mon for them as WAGs is doing b25g25 free starting tomorrow).
I hate waiting for approval so, I joined the fan club last night. Seriously, I would pay a membership fee of $10 a year not to have to wait for approvals.
