Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Supplies Blog Group
**We are FULL**
Is anyone interested in joining a military spouse/Active Duty blogging group? Just thought it might be fun!
Requirements would be easy...post something to your blog once a week and comment on your new friends' blogs once a week, not product specific. If once a week is too much, we can go to 2x a month. I know it is difficult sometimes.
Carrie, I will put you down. I think of all people, we can understand how life can get out of control in a second! I will just save you a spot and you can join up when you are ready. And I will get Chris and Amanda down!
So girls, where are all of you living now (if you don't mind answering on a forum). ;) We just moved to Alaska in July from Japan. It is nice to be back in the US, but it is freaking cold!! -42 today. I think I am ready for an assignment to say, Arizona or Florida! ;)

I've been freezing and it's only 50deg here today! Wheeew that's COLD!
We've been in MD for a little over 3years now. I really like this area a lot. Being Air Force it was a little different getting used to an Army installation but it's turned out really good.

Glad to hear it! I bet it would take some getting used to...PX vs BX for one. ;) The Army seems to have the best commissaries! Are you due to move soon? My BIL is AF as well and he just moves all around Virgina bases...been there for 10 of the last 14 years!
Kari, you know what is sad? I don't want to go to HI because of the schools! Obviously the cold is getting to my brain...I cannot believe I just said that out loud!
you must have SAD...go to the "happy lights" for awhile

I can tell you first hand you don't want to go to Hawaii because of the schools. But it's a beautiful place.
We are stationed in FL right now but gearing up for a PCS very soon.
my blog addy is
The Giggle Box (I have neglected it for awhile). I did just make a card the other day so I should add it.

Thanks Carrie! I will add you above! Cute blog name!!
Are you moving somewhere warm? I would love to live vicariously through you! I don't like moving though...we just got our long term storage shipment. Holy cow. I think I could have donated the ENTIRE thing!

No moving more North. I wanted to stay here but it wasn't in the cards due to hubs promotion. Oh well.

We have 4 year orders...been here 3 so never know! Could be years could have orders tomorrow, just never know. We moved here from Germany, I'm just hoping to stay in the states. We loved Germany but with both sets of parents getting older....we need to be close.
How are you liking Alaska, other than the cold? I want to take an Alaskan cruise.

Wow 20 Posts and I didn't get 1 notification. :(.
We are currently stationed in North Dakota.. It's been beautiful the last 2 days and the snow is starting to melt. They are calling for more towards the end of the Week though, boooooooo, lol. I am tired of Snow after the 1st 2 weeks..
We were stationed in Louisiana for a little over 7 years and I miss it a great Deal. I am originally from Germany (Amanda glad you liked Germany. Where were you at over there?) I know what you mean about Parents getting older. I am so wishing to get Orders back to Germany again so I could be closer to mine again. Been in the US 18 Years already. We are here on a 5 year tour but hope to be able to get out of it after 4 years here. Hurry up October so we can put in the Papers. We saw the new Equal and I am so sad to see open slots for my Hubby but we can't apply because we are locked in still :(
I don't blog every Day but once a week is definantly do-able. With Kids things can get pretty hectik but like Siobhan said, we know life can throw curve balls in a second and we might not be able to do it one week.
Well off to check out the Blogs and add everyone to my Sidebar..
Wishing everyone a good Night!
Isn't that the way it goes? One day you live happily doing the same 'ol, same 'ol and next thing you know orders drop and you have a few weeks to get ready.
Yeah, I like Alaska...it sure is BEAUTIFUL! The northern lights are AMAZING and seeing the moose daily is a real trip. I am happier in the summer when we have 20 hours of daylight! Really though, the cold is not that bad...I mean it is frostbite freezing, but you run from one place to the other so it is not a huge deal. Kids go out for recess until -20!
We want to do a cruise as well! Now, Anchorage has much different weather than we do. They stay around 60-70 in the summer with rain. We are sheltered here by the mountains so we get up into the 90's and no wind. I think I prefer it here even though the winter is brutal.
We also get paid to live here. ;) The Pipeline money is sure a nice incentive!! I have never changed residency so fast!
I think my only gripe is that since 1998 we have lived in SNOW! Utah, Colorado, Japan, here. And Japan has the most snow in PACAF. Apparently I need to embrace the snow before the AF will release me from it's grips! LOL

Germany was beautiful, and so clean in comparison to Maryland. We lived for three years on Spangdahlem AFB. We did as much traveling as two babies would allow. It was a great experience. I want to go back one day and see a few things we missed. Your from Germany what area?

OMG You were in Spangdahlem. I miss Spang. I grew up in Oberkail just 4km from Spang. My Parents still live there.. so does my little Sister. My older Sister sadly is burried in Germany. I am the only 1 here. I miss Germany a great Deal but mostly because of my Parents Age. They are not spring chickens anymore and my older sis used to help them out (little one lives a little further away from them) but since she isn't with us anymore it's been hard. So glad you enjoyed it. Your blog is amazing
