TLC318 ~ Follow the Edge ~ (03/28/11)
Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host the TLC challenge today and thanks to my sweet friend,
Denise (peanutbee) , we have a great one!! I saw
this GORGEOUS card on her blog and in her gallery here on SCS and just knew we had to do this technique for the TLC!! I am going to call it *
Follow the Edge*.
All you have to do is trim the front side of the card along the edge of your image so you can see the inside. I free hand cut my layers but you can trace the background layers from the first one you cut. The scallops I added on the inside show when the card is closed.....too cool!!
You can use any stamp for this...it doesn't need to have sharp edges to cut around because you can cut any kind of line. If you just want to cut a straight line, that's ok, as long as you can see part of the inside when the card is closed.
Here is Denise's card:
Rainy Get Well
Here is my sample:
Happy Birthday, Caitlyn
Please remember when uploading to include the
KEYWORD TLC318 (no spaces).
You can view the entire
TLC318 gallery here .
Have fun and I can't wait to see what you create!!!

What a REALLY COOL technique! I love it and look forward to what everyone else comes up with.
Thanks for posting these challenges each week!
Here's my card. I combined it with the "cut out sentiment" CAS challenge...

Oh - I haven't done one of these for years!! Thanks for the reminder about this - hope I'll have some time later on today. I have a lot more choice of suitable stamps than I did back then, LOL.

Ohh Great challenge Joan. I'm finally back from my trip to Israel and jet lag has finally left. Hope to get back to the challenges this week. This is really a good one....I'm not good with the scissors but will give it a try.

Clever idea, Joan! You're right, peanutbee's(Denise) card is phenomemal. Wow....what coloring besides the intricate cutting of the edge...and the layers, oh my! I combined it with the CAS challenge today, so you know mine is much simpler.
