Scrappin' Challenge 2011

Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.

It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...

What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.

*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *

You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!

SCS 52 Week Thursday Goal Challenge!
This year on Thursdays you'll be invited to join us for our 52 Week Scrap Challenge. These challenges will be PERFECT whether you're working on your kids albums, 2011 Family Album, Daily Life Album or a "BOM" (Book of Me).

By the end of the year, you'll have some GREAT pages or a complete 2011 Scrapbook...OR BOTH! :mrgreen:

Scrappy Sisters,

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:

1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!

Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )

You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play

I'm in for 4 but hope to do lots more with VSBN this weekend. I'll be like the squirrel...storing extra for those months I know I won't be able to do any!

marking my spot .... I think I'm going to try for more, but my minimum goal for February is 8 pages (4 Fridays = 8 pages) so that I can keep up with Cheryl's 52 wk challenge.

For now, I'm going to go see if I can cap off January with a win! one more to go!

I did 7 in January and probably will do more than that in Feb, because of VSBN. But I will stick to 5 per month! 60 pages for the year. If I do that, I will be happy, and if I do more, great!

Put me down for 11 pages this month - I tried to finish my last January page last night, but I was too tired (getting a cold!). I will finish it today and then have 10 left for the month Annual goal of 120 and I hope to blow it out of the water!!

I'm in for 10...been prepping for VSBN! For those of you new to VSBN, the advantage of hosting a challenge is you get to see the challenges early :-) So I've been assigning photos that I need to get done to the challenges and getting my ideas ready :-) (and I'm still behind!)

Well, very interesting times. Missed the huge floods, but there is the largest cyclone in memory bearing down on us now. It was heading straight for us, but has shifted to the next major city up the coast. But it is so big, it will still be sending massive winds in our directions. We should be in the thick of it in about 20 hours time. Wish us luck!!

Our State Premier (like a Govenor I think??) is still staggering from the huge floods, now she is watching the biggest storm ever threaten her state.

Morning!
I'm praying for all under weather threat. We are looking at blizzard warnings here in Chicagoland we stocked up last night, and are staying in.

February is here And I'm hoping VSBN will help me hit my goal. I won't be scrapping much after that. I have to get going on my sewing for the show. I have everything in pieces right now.

I thought this would be a good place to put the new Creative Crew challenges for February, since I do all mine in a Digital Program anyway and generally do scrap pages or cards I know there were gallery issues for this, but I think they are being worked on - the gallery link at the bottom is now working, but it doesn't appear that the individual keywords are.

got the PDF up - in the same link above, the sketch was meant to be a card sketch but we were challenged to make it a SB page,
and I thought that Photography link was a great one too which is why I made sure to copy it as well!

Welcome, Martha! I had my mom's b'day last weekend, but luckily, it was Sunday, so I didn't miss the mini-VSBN on Saturday!

I thought I had given my budget and page count per month when I signed up, but I can't find it.

I'm limiting myself to only spend $50 per month, if necessary. My goal is to create two layouts per month, with a total of 24 per year.

I didn't meet my goal for January, but I'm caught up for February already. lol
