TLC311 ~ Sliding Pop-Up card ~ 02/07/11
Hi Friends!
My family spent the day rooting on our STEELERS. Sad we lost, but it was a good game. Congrats, Packers fans! It was a lot of noise and a lot of food. Im pretty much ready to call it a night, so I am posting this a bit early. I also have to be up at the crack of dawn to head to Denver for Marcis chemo treatment and a few doctor appointments. We try to lump them together in one day, especially in winter as its a good hour or more drive down.
~ Sliding Pop-Up Cards ~
I am a huge fan of Kim Scores ( needmorestamps) work. When I saw her latest tutorial here in the resources section, I knew we had to make this a TLC! Youll want to watch the video. As precise as her step by step with pictures is, the video just pulls it all together. At first, it looks difficult, but let me tell you, its so easy! Just a hint, too. The piece that actually holds your pop-up item CAN be adjusted in size. I had to make mine a bit smaller due to the smaller pop-up, but it worked perfectly!
Here is my sample:
~ Nuts about You ~
Please remember when uploading to use keyword TLC311 (no spaces) and use the Sliding Pop Up card gallery from the drop down menu.
The entire TLC311 gallery can be viewed HERE.
Cant wait to see what POPS UP in this challenge!

Oh, this looks like fun! And I might have enough room on my table since I cleaned it today to actually craft there, lol!

Okay, I confess, I am a lazy stamper. I don't usually like to do techniques that take so much time, but this one is surprisingly simple and fairly quick. Thanks Holly! I had a good time creating my

Ah - I tried this last week and was hoping that a second attempt would be better. I'll keep my thinking cap on while I do the housework and see what ideas come along. Perfect incentive to try again, thanks Holly!

Okay, I gave it a shot. The results were not perfect, but not too bad. I'm off to work, but I'll be back to look at everyone else's cards later.
Here's my Easter Pop-Up Card.

TLC311 CAS105 Loads of Love for Lindsey by GardenDiva - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Well here it is...................I'm actually very pleased with my card. It WORKS !!! ha ha
Until I put the front part together I couldn't figure out how big the main image could be.
Mind could have been bigger. Up to 4" tall is what I came up with. I also used this as my CAS card so the added white space is a plus today. If I make this card again........I would make my sun bigger and attach it up on the back heart panel.
Holly..........thanks for pushing me to try this.
Kim...............your work is super and the instructions are right on !!!
Happy Monday everyone.

Thanks for challenging us to try out this technique. You are right that it is easier than it looks and it was just the technique I need to highlight some pansies that I made using the butterfly punch. Here's what mine looks like closed and opened

I made 5 of Kim's raggedy ann and andy valentines for the grands but I couldn't post a direct CASE, so I did this one up today. I really like this technique. Thanks, Holly.

Here's my attempt at this challenge. I had a great time with it, but it took me forever to complete! Sure am glad this wasn't a VSN challenge.
Super fun card.
