WT306 absolutely GRADIENT (1/20/11)
Hello everyone
The Challenge.
GRADIENT stamping
Details.
use a Gradient ink pad (one that contains more than one color on one pad) or make your own by combining more than one color of ink to your stamps.
Tips. (suggestions)
1. tap ink on one side and another color on the opposite side
2. tap ink in the center of the stamp, and 2 different colors on each end
3. small, chalk ink pads work best
4. if you need to remove color from an ink pad, usually a baby wipe will work well
5. use monochromatic colors, star with the lightest color and work your way to dark
6. possibly stamp in the center and work your way out form there with additional colors
Please remember to put WT306 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your beautiful creations. Feel free to create as many projects as you wish but keep in mind that this is not a contest. Use this challenge as inspiration and hopefully you see your creativity flourish. You can combine this challenge with another
My sample: Many Thanks
WT306 Gallery Submissions: HERE
I will be checking out your butterfly creations when I can...I hope your had fun creating with Julia at the wheel again. Thank you so much Julia
Please know that I have a family of seven, four dogs and a few design obligations that keep me busy every day. I will do my very best to comment on each and every project but there may be times that I simply will not be able to. I sure am going to try though.
Thank you so much for playing along.
I hope you have fun creating!
Kim

How cool! I just finished a quick (really quick for me) card using my fave blue rainbow pad. Love it for winter cards. Here's my Winter Snowflake. Thanks so much for looking!

GREAT challenge!
I tried to use the baby wipe technique with a solid stamp...too soggy. YUCK...So, I decided to just use the sentiment for this technique!
Here's today's submission

I have several spectrum pads that I can use for this.
Be back a bit later.

Goodnight Moon
This was fun. I had never made a gradient card before today, so challenge is definitely an appropriate word. I knew exactly which stamp to use for this. I chose Spot Dot by Papertrey Ink. I used three different shades of blue. On the back ground, I used a brayer with the same three blue inks.

I don't think I followed the gradient instructions too well, but here's my gradient card anyway! Thanks for the great challenge!
