WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #129
BAD DOGS, BAD DOGS
WHATCHA GONNA DO, WHATCHA GONNA DO
WHEN WE COME FOR YOU.
BAD DOGS, BAD DOGS......
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Last week it was nice being around all that gold in the garden. We got a little spoiled being able to smell the roses and gaze upon the glimmer of all that gold! But a week has gone by and another teapot and destination awaits. I am here to tell you once again we are Going to The Dogs! We are headed to Miami, Florida this week! Don't worry, don't looked shocked, its not tea with the Crocs, it's tea with the Cops!! Now before you start panicking, hyperventilating, breaking out in a cold hard sweat, don't worry about the insurance card you forgot to put in the glove compartment or your driver's license you stuck in the back pocket of your jeans that is currently at home in the hamper! Let me assure you, we won't get a ticket! Remember, we are Going to The Dogs not to the slammer!
2. Now we all know that when we need help, a good place to start is with a cop. But what's a cop to do when he needs help? Call a Teapotter or a member of the T.E.A. Squad! (You get extra points if you write in the commentary on your card what T.E.A. stands for!) Snort! Turns out the whole Florida police force (even Miami Vice!) needs help as there is a shortage of Canine Cops and before we can sip our tea, we gotta round up some recruits! All the good Canine Cop recruits have joined a local gang, called DJWHF ~ West Side! (Pronounced D.J. Woof!) The police files indicate the initials stand for Dogs Just Wanna Have Fun! Having fun sometimes is interpreted as being bad as some of you teapotters know! Things like stealing freshly baked cookies off the counter top, chasing the neighbors cat, chewing up the new redwood patio furniture, digging holes in the garden for no apparent reason, nabbing a ham sandwich from an unsuspecting human, barking non stop at the squirrel that keeps disrupting a nap! You get the picture! The dogs in the gang have united to just have fun and they don't even wanna think about going to work. But the Chief of Police has put the order out and the T.E.A. Squad has gotta bring the bad dogs in!
Bad Dogs, Bad Dogs,
Watcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
when we come for you....
Bad Dogs, Bad Dogs,
Watcha gonna do, watcha gonna do
when we come for you ???
3. Meet Mac-Attack, he's the leader of the pack. Everyone thinks he got his name from being a macho, mean, ferocious guard dog that doesn't back down! Nope, that's not it! He's just Mac, looking for a snack in a sack, specifically a Big Mac! He's consumed 42,000 Big Mac's while hanging out at the local McDonald's with his fellow WHF pack taking advantage of Big Mac opportunties! He has earned his name and boy, was it easy! See the look on his face? He looks a little guilty and has not quite swallowed #42,001 yet! Sorta like the look on a robber's face when the police show up!
4. Bring dogs and lots of them! If you can't find any Bad Dogs, then bring Good Dogs, the Chief won't know the difference. If you can't find any Good or Bad Dogs at all, then bring somewhere a potential dog recruit would hang out. Somewhere masculine, somewhere manly, somewhere a good or bad dog would enjoy himself, get in shape for the force (yah, right!), and somewhere that's just fun to be! A dog may not be visable on your card but we'll sniff him out so bring it on! Hey, we have had some pretty serious find the cookies sniff training so we can fall back on that!
If you bring Micky D's yellow arches, you have to come in the back door! I will probably be back there with all the Bad Dogs singing the challenge theme song! Go figure!
This week's destination is Miami, Florida! We are sending our cards to Alex, a police officer who the week before Christmas was injured on the job. He was jumping a fence chasing after a subject in a robbery and blew out his knee. Shortly after, he had to have surgery and is frustrated and disappointed. Its hard to keep a good man down! Alex was brought to my attention by Barbie (Barbie 50) who is a close friend and co-worker of Alex. Actually, he is more like a son to her. Instead of Alex helping others, we're helping him, sending him some SCS love to cheer him up! Told ya the cops call the T.E.A. Squad for help! Snort!
For more information on Alex's favorite things (one of which is dogs!) and Alex's address please visit Post #169 of the The Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Alex. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT129 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
My card for this week can be found here
Thank you Cindy for another great challenge...
One of these week's I will think of a story, I was never good at that, but I really do enjoy reading what other's write, maybe One of these days it will rub off on me...
I really doubt whether I'll make the tea party this week. For the next while my stamping life is going to change. We have decided our house is way too big for 2 people now the kids have left for faraway places so we are going to list it. To make it more "visually pleasing" as our real estate agent tried tactfully to suggest I have to pack up most of my craft room. I use what is actually a bedroom as my stockroom and I will agree it is very messy. I will leave out about 100 stamps and only the basics for papers. This will seriously hamper my style but I'm hoping the place sells fast. Right now my craft room is full of boxes and I can't craft anything. I hope to be up and running on a limited basis by next week.
Cheers,
Elizabeth

Our hero Alex is a cop
who ordered a perp to stop.
The robber picked up his pace,
after him, Alex began to race.
Over the fence he did hop
only to hear a loud pop.
Oh no, what could it be?
Ouch! It was Alexs knee.
Now that his surgery is done,
hell recuperate in the Florida sun.
The T.E.A. squad to the rescue
to keep Alex from feeling blue.
Well make him a card
for us, thats not hard.
We are Talented Energetic Artists
who send cards to people on the lists.
Mudder inspires us to get out our ink
when its time for us to post a link
to the card that will provide some fun
for this weeks Destination Station. here's my card
I can barely find my desk in this reorganizing mess but I just had to make a card - had the shakes and going through withdrawal, I think. This is my first time participating in the Teapot Tuesday challenge but it won't be my last. Awesome challenge for a great reason.
This is my first time playing with the teapoters! I do not have a single dog stamp, this is as close as I can get.
Hope he T.E.A.'s next time. Take Evasive Action.
Looks like we've got lots of new players this week. Welcome everyone, I hope to get by and comment on your card.
I'm coming dog-less to the challenge, but I think I got the masculine part OK, so hopefully I don't have to come in the back door. Here's my card.
Here is my card. The TEA ("Teapotters Endeavor to Assist")Squad is once again headed to a wonderful destination in Miami, FL, to aid a police officer that was injured in the line of duty - Alex. Since the weather is so crummy, maybe we should hand deliver the cards to Alex and all sit on the beach and sip mojitas! It was a nice thought!
Hello Ladies, I'm coming in the back door this week. The TEA Squad is behind me though... I don't have any dog stamps or such, but I do know the next best thing for a COP is his donuts... I have 2 Hurts Donuts going out to Alex. One is a raised glazed and the other is a raised raspberry glazed dount. One for Alex and one for his dog. They can fight over who gets what.
I know my age is showing, but remember when we used to ask the person next to us if they wanted a Hertz donut, then slug them in the arm and say "Hurts Don't it? Well that's what Alex is getting from me.
Cindy, I love your cute police dog!!!
Again, I'm still at my Mom's, so I'm only posting this. I do watch what's happening in the gallery though. Keep up the good work!
Oh, I haven't put the challenge keyword in yet because I'm not sure if it's bad form to include a card that's already done. I'm now off to read the challenge stickies to see if I can get an answer...
And...got my answer and I'm going to leave the keyword out but keep the link here. This makes me rethink uploading anything that's not part of a challenge, just in case a challenge comes along that fits my card perfectly. I've noticed that cards that are part of a challenge get a lot more "traffic" than cards that are not.

Thank you ladies for sending such lovely cards to my buddy to help cheer him up.
He is so thankful and excited to be receiving so many cards with happy cheerful greetings.
He sent me this picture of cards he received that he is adding to his police scrapbook.
Once he gets them all done I will post them for all to see.

Alex got 10 cards today! :p
He could not believe it. I can tell by the sound of his voice he was
so happy and excited. I wish I could have been there to see his face.
You ladies have really done a great job at cheering up somebody
that really needed it and I can't thank you all enough.
Mudder, I hope I can still come in the front door this late. I know the cookies will be all gone but that is okay. Officer Alex and his love of dogs is more important.
