Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2008 & 2009 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2010! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2010! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for December. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for November, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2010 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 3 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "SBC11JAN"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

Matching Saving/Spending Goal Group

I'm in..... Hubby went ice fishing with ds1; ds2 is still napping.. I think I'll go get some scrappy goodies out to see if I can finish up 2010 before I decide on 2011
It's quiet here too....DS1 is at the Rec Center playing B-Ball and DS2 and DH are out putting on some new tail lights for his car. That leaves me with a hot cup of coffee, Christmas tunes and my scrap table. I'm actually working on 2011 Christmas Cards. I'm much better at getting them done during Dec/Jan for the next year than trying to start in the summer, LOL! ;)
I haven't decided my goals for 2011 either! Still thinking ...

I'm in too! I will start the year with a more attainable number, as I luckily have a huge project I'm working on ( more on that later)for the next three months.

Lela! Thanks so much for hosting this for us! You are a sweetheart for keeping up with us over the years. I didn't get a lot accomplished scrappy wise in 2010 so I'm looking forward to a very productive year in 2011!
My 2011 Goal for the year is 300 pages. I know that is a lot compared to what I accomplished for 2010 but I'm so far behind! I don't even have any 2010 pics developed. I have 590 pics on my memory card!!!! YIKES! I'm working on my 2008 album. I'm about 1/2 through. I have about 400, 2009 pics to scrap then on to my 2010 album. So, that's a lot to get done and I'm hoping to get most of it knocked out in 2011!!!!!!!!!
We will be in the mist of moving in January so I'll make my January goal only 10 pages. I'll up my monthly goals after we're moved and I'm in my new craft room!
This may just be the motivation I need to get my groove back. My scraping took a crash dive the last of 2010, but I hope to turn that around now with a new year on the horizon. I took a job at JoAnns for the season and that took most of my time. They are going to keep me on, but I'm thinking the hours will be a lot less. I have started a Christmas album so know I will do a big number in January. So, I'm setting my January goal to 20. So glad to hear from you Lela, so I can get back in touch with all of you!

I'm in again too. I'm going to set my goal for 10 pages per month again for 2011. And this year, I'll try and post some of them. Haven't done that for a very long time.

I'm in, too. I don't think I've made a page since December 2009. Eeek! All of my pictures will be "retro" because my camera disappeared from my house and I don't want to buy a new one since I know I'm getting a fancy schmancy one for my birthday. This will be a great opportunity to scrap some of the 15,000+ pictures on my computer. I'm going to make a January goal of 4 pages.
I'm afraid to hit submit because I think my 2010 goals will pop up in my sig line and it will be completely humiliating to see how non-productive I've been!
EDIT: Wow! My avatar picture! My babies are almost 9 and 4 1/2 now! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted!

I want to say THANKS to Lela for all of her hard work! I lost my mojo sometime after VSBN and it is just returning so I am going to start out slow and have a goal of 10 for January. Happy New Year everyone!

I'm going to start out a little slow for January and say 10 pages and finish up my december daily album.
I'm looking forward to catching up

Lela you are amazing, thanks for keeping the challenge alive. Need to think on this one, but I am hoping 2011 will be a little more consistent than 2010
Basement is almost to the point I can get back to my supplies. Unfortunately hubby did not think to take care of my stuff and cover it, so everything is covered in a huge layer of dust, fortunuately most things are kept in rubbermaid shoebox bins. So I should be back to some semblance of an area in the next week or so, and hopefully even more organized than before, since I will be playing the moving game again
Will touch base in a few days and see what I think I can accomplish and how I want to do my spending, I really haven't spent much this past year, mostly downloads and stuff for business, so I will probably lean more towards a pay myself for page challenge, so I can store up some monies for when I want to buy something for myself
See you in a few!!!

Hello Ladies!! Definately count me in for 2011, I really need to get a big time jump on my PILE of photos! I went through them all this fall and put them in chronological order, rather than sorted by individual, this way I can scrap by "event" rather than try to figure out what was happening in all those oddball photos. Did I mention that these are all the family photos from when I was a kid!! LOL I'm hoping to have something very scrap-worthy this year, so I'd better get a head start!
I'm thinking if I accomplish 2 layouts in January it'll be a miracle, BUT! the VSBN Mini will be the Jan 29th, so there's at least 2 layouts right there! WOOHOO!! I may have to dust off my mojo before then and get it all oiled up!

My One Little Word for 2019 - Complete
I would like to join in 2011. I think that 10 layouts a month would be a good place to start. I am also going to do the spending budget for the month, but not sure how to do that so I will have to do some more reading. Thanks for the challenge
OK, I am going out on a limb here, and putting for 50-70 in the year. I am also going to make 20min of those Thursday Challenge... Time to start getting a little more involved.
If I make this, I will prove to myself I am dedicated enough, and then I will reward myself with a "Fan" membership at the end of the year.
Happy New Year everybody, I am flying from the east coast to the west coast of Australia tomorrow night, and won't be on again (other than a quick drop in). So have a wonderful celebration and I will "chat" again in 2011.

I am SOOOOO in for 2011... My life just has not been the same without my ART THERAPY or my SCS Friends!!!! Not sure of my goals for the NEW YEAR, the digi-world is crashing in on me very quickly from a business point of view and I am not sure which way I am headed with all of that, since I am a true-blue paper addicted girl, I am struggling to accept the change. BUT I am excited for the new year and all the wonderful blessing that it will bring!

I know! It's an awesome feeling! It's helping with the "Holiday Hangover".
This is a great card to use up your scrapping scraps! Which is what I'm doing! I love it! I'm using Basic Grey papers & it looks like a scallop quilt. And I LOVE the SU! Tasteful Trims die. This card idea could also be an idea for a layered border for a SB page????
Anyway, I will post pics to my blog & SCS when I get finished.
I posted a 6 x 6 recipe card for Good Luck Soup to my blog yesterday! It's also in my gallery. Go lookie!

Hi All,
I set some goals late in 2010 and it was great having goals set to motivate me to scrap!
30 pages for the year -> with the goal really being to finish an album I have been doing for 2 years!
I am not being too ambitious, aiming for just a few more than 2 pages per month. If I manage to get them all done, that will be more pages than I have done in the past 3 years combined, so I will be very excited!!
Decided to do some card goals as well:
Atleast 1 Christmas Card per month, instead of going crazy in december!!
A year goal for cards of 50
