If so, which one? why do you like it? has it been good or bad for your stamping/scrapping budget? Do you use every stamp in the kit or more like 50% of the kit? I'm interested because I do lean towards stamping these days more than scrapping, but if it's anything like the scrap clubs I used to belong to, I rarely if, ever used the kits that came, and hardly ever used all that came in a kit if I did use it.
Would you Stampers care to share your thoughts?
I did along time ago and had the same frustration of getting a stamp that was not my style and having the stamp just sit around. I found a SU! demo on accident and was smitten with the stamps, I joined the club and was happy to get some hands on witht he stamps, then I only ordered the ones I liked and actually used. that demo is now my upline :-)
decide what kind of images you like, I know there are a ton of companies out there so you may want to purchase individually from acompany the stamp you like and not get stuck with a kit that you are unhappy with and have spent money on. check out the gallery, you'll get inspiration there. hth
thanks, I do regularly check out the gallery! I asked about the stamp kits because I've purchased a few Unity stamps and really like them and they offer a kit club. But the more I think about it I probably won't do a club for just the reasons you mentioned and from my experience with scrap club kits. I do have quite a variety of stamps from different manufacturers and like the freedom of purchasing just the ones I like!
I have been trying to join My Creative Scrapbook kit club for several months. As far as I know I am on the "waiting list" but I have never heard from the company and there is no way to call. I did get an email that said my pre order went through, but that was in Nov or maybe the 1st part of Dec. I feel as if I would use most if not all the supplies in that kit.
I need to see if I can send them another email.........
I belong to Unity's kit of the month club and love it! I've been a member for almost two years now, I think! It's a great value (just 26.00 plus shipping) and you get a whole sheet of stamps, usually around 20 or more stamps each month. I probably use 75% of the stamps in each kit, sometimes it takes me a while to use them, though. I'll mix and match from different kits or go back to a certain one after a while. Just whatever I feel like using at the moment. They have a really fun mix of styles and they're very trendy and cute.

I found Unity a few months ago and get their kit each month. One of the selling points for DH is that I can opt out of a month if there aren't enough stamps that I will use in it. So far I have yet to see one I don't like. I am especially in love with this months kit and have gotten some of the past kits when they have been on sale. I love that they have a good mix for both cards and scrapbook pages. Just beware, it is a very addicting company with so many great stamp sets and they often have great sales and the kit comes with discount codes. They have gotten the majority of my crafting budget since I started buying and I have been thrilled with everything I have gotten.

I just signed up for a CTMH club. It's not a kit club, but you order your pick of products that equal the monthly minimum. I have no idea how I'll like it (other than I'm sure I can go over the minimum) but my hostess now has 30 people in the clubs so it must be worthwhile.
I love being part of the Unity KOM club! I can skip a kit if I already have similar images in my collection, or if the budget just doesn't allow it that month. The images are always great--a fabulous combination of sentiments, images geared for card-making and images geared for scrapbooking. The quality is great and their customer service is top-notch! It's the best value around! The Unity design team also showcases neat ways to use the stamps, so even if there's one image in the kit that I initially might not love, by the time I've seen all the designer's work, I love them all! I also prefer this to the face-to-face clubs because I don't feel pressured to buy. To skip a month, it just takes a simple email. Good luck with your decision!
CTMH has Workshop on the Go Kits that I LOVE! There are always several available at a time, but one is featured each month. The kits have a paper pack, stamp set, some embellishments and a workshop guide for creating layouts or cards.

I belonged to Unity's kit of the month club in 2010 for about six or seven months. It was great at the time, but I've since had to cut my budget back a little. I liked the ability to skip a month, like Libby mentioned.
But one of the main reasons I dropped was mainly because I found myself not really liking the entire kit month after month. And instead of trading away images or keeping images I knew I wouldn't use, I decided to drop the club and purchase individual sets instead.
Plus, there was SOOOO much rubber in the kits that I found myself having a hard time using it all. Now, that may not be a negative for some people. But I felt bad having kits where half or more of the stamps never saw ink. So for me, I just had to let the club go. Still love Unity, just purchase sets instead.
I think you have to look at your budget, your style, your time commitment and what you're looking to get out of the club you join. HTH
I have always liked the Of the Heart kits as they are reasonably priced. You can pick from 4 or 5 different stamps or selections each month and the kit includes papers plus some kind of embillishment and/or ribbon. The kit comes tied in in a satin ribbon I always save for cardmaking too. This month's main kit includes the main stamp and a valentine sentiment:
I appreciate everyone's input. I think I'll create my own "kit" of sorts, by ordering a different brand of stamp each month along with one or two ink pads, or markers, colored pencils. Patterned paper doesn't thrill me but cardstock does so I may include that in my "kit" too. Hey this is sounding gooder and gooder
