Happy 2011!
Welcome to our champagne gala, where we are toasting our top nominations for 2010. Instead of our normal Favorites thread, this week we are doing a year-end retrospective of the best our SCS Gallery has to offer. Everyone can join in; check my next post if you need directions. With over a quarter of a million Gallery uploads in 2010, it was a real challenge to narrow it down to a single list. In chronological order, here are some of my Favorites of the entire year.
12-16-10. This is the gorgeous card that gave me the idea to do a "Best of 2010" thread, when Terri (Brat Cards) commented that it could be her favorite card of the year. ~I Heard the Bells.... by patsmethers
What are your top Favorites from 2010? Everyone is invited to add links to special cards or projects that were uploaded during the past 12 months. I'm counting on you to mention so many other outstanding cards. Post your links and let's celebrate the level of talent here on SCS.
If you are new to the FAVORITES threads, please read.
Each week we have newcomers to these threads. EVERYONE is welcome to join in. The more participation we have, the more interesting this thread will be.
--- Want to post a Thank You? Please do not use the Quote button.
Instead of quoting, scroll down and either type your response in the Quick Reply box or click the Go Advanced button. This thread will be easier to read without all the same link lists quoted over and over again. We've had terrific cooperation on this request. Thanks!
Optional: Pay It Forward. When you say "thank you," you're encouraged to also link to at least one of your own Favorites. This idea started with a suggestion from APandi, seconded by ChaosMom.
--- Was your card mentioned in this thread? Here's how to find it.
Let's say that you find out your card has been mentioned in this thread, but by the time you check it, there are dozens of links. Here's how to find yours:
1. At the top of the screen, click the drop-down box for Search this Thread.
2. Type in your screen name and click the Go button. Since most of the links include screen names, yours will probably show up in the search results.
--- Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps.
Make sure all the cards that you want to link are already in your SCS Gallery Favorites.
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button. In the Reply to Thread box, type what you want to say.
2. Open a second browser tab and load your SCS Gallery Favorites to display the thumbnails.
3. Right-click on a thumbnail and select Copy Shortcut (or Copy Link Location).
4. Go to the first tab again. Right-click and select Paste. Hit the Enter key twice to separate each link.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as many times as you need for your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that all your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
Notes: For browsers without tabs, you can open separate windows. On a Mac, use Ctrl+click rather than right-click.
When you copy and paste links as explained above, the screen name is automatically part of the link. If you would rather add links a different way, please include the exact screen name so that the person can find it by searching this thread.

Judi! Bless your heart! What fun! I have been going thru my list and am so happy to see that you have so many!!! Gosh, where to start? Ok, just for starters- here we go! (and thanks to you and Terri, that lil Brat! for the mention) Hugs.....
Curt Up-date by Mutnik. Kinda hard to choose a fav of the year form Cathy's gallery. Every card she makes (complete with story line and hand drawn images) makes me smile from head to toe!
Mice to be Loved by Karen Barber. Ah...every card. I swear, gorgeous!!!
For the Love of Friendship by Michele, (mitchygitchygoomy). A totally "girlie" card by one of the most genuine sweet stampers here.
Vaneesa's Card by Brat Cards sweet DD, and her card packs a message, too beautiful! Vanessa, you are my fav of the year! Hugs.....
Adele Enjoying Fresh Apples by Kittie747, who has been my favorite "Stamp Professor" since, joining SCS (Or Card College, as I say) Kittie, I love every piece you create!
Somewhere to put the Cousin by that lil Stinker, Mothermark. (Now, how could I do a fav of the year, without Da Mudder, I mean, she owns the MAN!) Snugs....
Judi, a special thanks to you for keeping the favs going, and for the effort you go to to let everyone know they have been fav'd! Hugs....

One of my goals for 2011 is to surf through the gallery more frequently. It used to be a daily venture for me and then I let other things get in the way. I have realized that I need that time to build and grow my love for paper crafting. With that said... here is my favorites of 2010...
Thanks to everyone who posts their fabulous creations in the gallery, everyone who posts their favorites so I can catch the ones I miss, and everyone that leaves loving comments on cards!

Thanks so much, Judi, for adding my Olympic Color Challenge card to your list...you've got me doing my happy dance!
I had 11 pages of favorites for 2010. It was so hard to choose, but I've got it down to these 7 very favorites:
Way back from last Feb is this lovely card with lots of texture, mixture of patterns, and most of all, vibrant color. I just love to look at it, and the chair really does look like velvet. -Velvet Paisley Chair by Christine Creations
Also from last Feb, even though I'm not usually one for feminine frills, this beauty is perfectly put together. It's like a party dress that has just enough eye-catching touches. -Happy Birthday! by gbedwright
This next card is an Easter gem from last March. I don't know if it's the color combo, gingham paper, or expert quilling that all come together to make it fresh as a...well, you know. -Quilled Easter Flowers by cbuswell
This Challenge card from May is just an outstanding shadowbox nature scene. Some may see it as masculine, but I would love to have this card. It's one of those cards that set me in a tizzy to buy the stamp set used...but I never did get it. I love everything about this card! - P3 Challenge 05-01-10 Shadowbox by lorrinda
This next card is from June and is just perfect in every way. I love the colors, papers, and the framing showcases the image in the best possible way. Such a creative beauty from a master! - Birthday Owl by Beate
Next is a tag from Sept that is just a lovely combination of materials, textures, patterns, and colors. Even though I've never met the one who created this, I don't know why she didn't send it to me...it was obviously made for me!??! This tag screams Leisa,...well to me it does anyway. Love it! -Christmas Tag - Joy by Chupa
And finally from December is what I think is my all time #1 favorite of all of 2010!!! This incredible beauty is all the more endearing because of the obvious love that went in to it. If this card were in my house, I'd sit and stare at it for hours. It's perfection in every way.-Bridge to Wyoming by patsmethers
Happy New Year to all! Thank you so much for the inspiration!!
Wow...how exciting to actually have been a favorite of last year! Judi, thanks for letting me know and Riley, thanks for mentioning me. This makes me realize that I need to get back to my roots and spend more time on SCS. With that being said, here are a couple of favorites I had:
Pat, Your supportive and wonderful comments touch my heart every time. Thanks for mentioning my Adele Apple card in this favorites forum.
Vicki, You must love snowmen as much as I do. Thanks for mentioning my Warm Wishes card in this forum.
