There is no 'deadline' to completing your Christmas cards for January, just remember those who do finish within the designated month go in for a small prize!
I might try and start mine between Christmas and New Year's while I'm off work. Otherwise, something to look forward to once January rolls around and all the existing festivities are over. Looking forward to it!
I just bought some pretty Christmas DP yesterday on sale! Yippee! I had no christmas DP at all and used neutrals or non-traditional colors to do my cards this year. It sucks being in a little area with zero scrapbooking/craft stores...including Walmart. We took the 2 hr drive to the nearest Walmart (and other stores!!) to finish up the Christmas shopping yesterday so I had a bit more of an opportunity to buy some crafty stuff. On a good note, I have only two gifts left to get and they will be picked up early next week!

I have the same issues you do, Patricia. My nearest 'big city' is 120 miles one direction. I do have a couple LSS stores 1 hour the other direction but there really isn't anything else there. I'd rather drive the extra hour to have time to spend at Borders, B & N, places like HL & Mike's where I can shop for a wide variety of crafts, not just papercrafts.
I try to combine my trips to places like that with a writers meeting or get-together with my sister who lives an hour the others side. It's our 'meet in the middle' place. If I have to spend time doing research for an article or want extra play time, I sometimes do it as an overnight. That way I can take advantage of WiFi to catch up on-line, too. (I have dial-up at home)

Yeah...it really sucks. I mostly shop on-line since the only scrapbook place that even exist in the closet (2 + hr drive) town to me is Walmart. I was in there last week and it looks like they have some new brands of paper and stuff so thats good. I would LOVE to come across an online store that carries nice stuff for CHEAP...and that ships to Canada at a reasonable price. I went on one site the other day that had cheap Cricut cartridges, added two to my cart (the total was a little over $40) and went to the shipping. Then I saw that it would cost almost $550!!!! INSANE!! I quickly emptied my cart and sent an email to the company complaining about the outrageous prices! I could drive to the nearest Michaels (about an 8 hour drive one way) stay over night, pick up the cartridges and then some, come home and still have money left! Sheesh!!

Oooooooo! I love them! Where the heck did you get those cute felt shapes? They are awesome!!
thanks! All the felt shapes were purchased at Joann's Fabrics and Crafts. They were in the DOllAR BINS! You get a ton of each shape for only $1.00. I don't know if they'd have any left this time of year, but you could keep a look out for them next year.
Next time you could have them shipped to someone in the US and they could reship them to you for A LOT LESS. I know... I ship packages to a friend in canada. Usually books and I think the most I've ever paid was $13!

They are really nice! I wish we had a Joann's. I went to their website and they have some awesome stuff (and pretty good prices!)! Too bad they don't ship to Canada....

I got my January cards done. These are the ones that I made for my three kids last week. I decided to go ahead and do five more for next year to send to some of my school friends. I also made my February cards. I'm on a roll! I've got to try to get as many as I can done while I'm off.

if that was through cricut machine... I know they had quite a backlog. It took me almost 4 weeks to get my order... and at week 3 they were still backed up by almost 1000 orders. They had not anticipated the response they got to their sale. They're probably still digging themselves out :-)

Got my January Cards done, but I am thinking I need to go get some silver cord or something.... kinda blah!
I could have sworn I had a spool... don't ya just hate it when you 'know' you have something, but can not find it!?!? Probably used it all up or borrowed it out (or left it behind somewhere!)

Great cards, Vikki Jo! I'm hoping to have time to do my January ones between Christmas and New Years - there must be a quiet day in there somewhere!

I HATE that! I KNOW someplace in my office there are 2 small containers holding my snowflake buttons and cardinal bird buttons. I used them when Adrian decorated her little wooden Christmas tree (see my avatar) and can't find them anywhere! And I could really use some of those snowflake buttons for my QSS package. ::: sigh :::
So if you see them sitting around somewhere, Vikki, I'd appreciate a heads up. :-D
