Default Holiday gifts

I know it is a bit early, but I want to get a jump on creating some holiday gifts for friends. Any suggestions? Your help would be appreciated.

Warmest wishes,
Pam

This year I'm going to make the Gifts in a Jar for my friends. We all love to bake and I think it's a really cute gift idea.

Not sure if you've heard of it but basically all you do is layer ingredients you need to make cookies/brownies/any type of baked dessert in a Mason Jar and include the recipe.

A link to illustrate what I'm talking about: Gifts in a Jar | Organized Christmas

This is very fun to do and has been around for years. Thank you for the reminder, I will just have to make those this year also.

I found what I think it going to be a great gift. I guess it's been around this site for awhile but it's new to me. lol

It's the name frames. You stamp each letter on to a tag or other shape of your choice, embellish and frame when you are done.

You can search in the gallery for them. I think these are nice because you could do first or last name, heck even initials would work. You can make them any size too. I did a 5x7 one for a lady's son that I swap with...it turned out really cute and who doesn't like something with their name???

I also plan to make some more of the post-it note holders on the acrylic frames. You can personalize them too.

If you go to the anything but a card gallery there are tons of ideas!! I also love to make some type of Christmas ornament each year.

Happy crafting!!

I just thought of another idea I'm hoping to make this year.

It's the calendar you make on a cookie sheet. You can do it many different ways. You can use the other side of the cookie sheet to store the magnets on. You could even do different months too to make it useful year round.

If you search on-line you will find lots of examples of these too.

Hope some of these ideas are helpful.

I will look for the name frames since I am not sure what they look like. I will also search for the calendar you mentioned.

I appreciate all suggestions.

I found a cute idea on cats creative place for calenders that fit into the cover of your
check book. It is made by folding and refolding a decorative sheet and gluing 3 month calendar on each sections. You need a clear check book cover. Then decorate the front cover. I used Red Hat stuff on mine and it was real cute. Everybody needs a check book cover. Sugamom.

Would you be so kind as to send me the link so I can possibly do this? I already have ordered the clear checkbook covers and they sound perfect for this project.

Thanks,
Pam

I know this thread is a little older but I thought I'd post this web page that I like to use when I'm making Gifts in a Jar.
There's many different mixes and ideas here.

Many do have tutorials on my blog. Is there something in particular you are looking for instructions for? I update my blog daily with tutorials, photos and ideas. If I don't have a tutorial, I might be able to help in letting you know how to make the item or do a tutorial for my blog. Check out the tutorial sections (there are both regular and video) to see if the item is there.
