Care to share your favourite sources for scrapbook sketches?
I like to scrap a lot of pictures on my pages, and like to get lots of ideas.
On this blog- http://grandmastemplates.blogspot.com/ she does lot of double page spreads and offers templates for them to download for digiscrapping but if you don't do digi, you can still use the ideas.
Also another one that has lots of sketches to look at is http://www.pencillines.com/ . I've saved lots of these to use at a later date!
Terry - Thanks for this link: http://grandmastemplates.blogspot.com. She has great layouts. I just glanced through it very quickly, but will later look and jot down some ideas. Thanks again.

You're welcome...it's amazing what one can find surfing the net!
Great question. I use lots of patterns from Jeanette Lynton's books, Cherish, Imagine, and Reflections, plus I love Becky Higgins' sketches. I also like some online resources like http://www.stickersnfun.com/ and http://nutsaboutsketches.blogspot.com/ (her sketches are a little busy, but they provide a good starting point for me). I don't know if I should toot my own horn, but I also post a sketch challenge every Monday on my blog, http://evenmorescrapping.blogspot.com/. Hope you find some inspiration.
I have the books by Jeanette Lynton. She has 3 scrapbook ones out now (Imagine, Reflections, and Cherish). Reflections is one of my favorites because the layout will show it with 4 pics, 2 pics, and 1 large one. Also there is cooresponding page numbers for double page layouts. I believe there may be a 4th one out soon called Magic.
You can get them through most bookstores (though most will have to order). They run 29.99 I believe. Michaels & ACMoore carries them also. If you have a Close to my Heart consultant and purchase through them, they are 21.95 (plus shipping & handling). Not sure what the savings would be.

My granddaughter is getting married in October and she wants me to do her a scrapbook, she doesn't want the traditional looking one, her colors are burnt orange, ivory, and black.
Any ideas on how to get started? Her grandfather has an antique john deere tractor that they will leave the reception on to go just around the corner. I need some ideas on this page.
scrapbooks are often a good source..I have many a times..surfing through a lot of them and some personal ideas and touches makes it good..try posting the link and asking for feed backs for better result...
Ladies...Be sure to come play with us here on SCS this weekend for our Virtual Scrapbooking Night...great way to be part of a 'crop' without packing all your stuff and each challenge has a chat thread so you can ask anything you want about scrapbooking...or share what you know...please check it out by clicking on the link in my siggy :-)
Does anyone know if http://grandmastemplates.com still has an active blog somewhere? I went to her site, love it, but noticed it has not been updated since Aug.

Hey Sharon...I looked up her blog and then clicked on her profile. She is still active on her personal blog Grandma's Scraps if you want to see what she's been up to. It doesn't appear that she is doing the templates anymore though.
I love to use the CTMH books, too. I feel that the sketches help me to mix and match paper and also to help me to use some of the things I have that are just taking up space in a box or a bag. I mean this in a good way! I would suggest looking at these maps/layouts with an open mind and you'll have a lot more success! Good luck!

Me to. The last time I went to a weekend crop I took two books with me (didn't have magic yet) and I got over 70 pages done. The ladies there loved them! Wish I'd been selling CTMH then lol. I think I'll be using these for a long time.
I have never made a scrap book page. I need to make a completed 12a12 page for a bridal shower. I have never met the bride. They live in Boston and are getting married in the Caribbean. Any Ideas?
I too use many photos on a page - I have waaaaay too many photos to scrap to do otherwise. I use Scrapbook etc and Creating Keepsakes page sketches a lot. Ialso buy old scrapbooking magazines from the library or book sales and cut out the multi-photo pictures that catch my eye, paste them onto plain paper and put them in a binder. That way, when I need inspiration, I just grab the binder and flip thru it and I don't waste time with the layouts I have no interest in.
However, I am definitely going to check out the ones you ladies so kindly motioned - always looking for more inspiration.
I have a lot of two page layouts on my blog - but I'm a multi crafter so I also post cards, paintings, etc. Feel free to check out my blog and see if you like my layouts.
Sketch Support This is the free sketch site from Alison Davis and Scrapbook Generation. There are sketches for cards, 1 page layouts and 2 page layouts.
I happen to love their sketches -- they take all the guessing out by giving you the measurements for every item on the page.
I ran across this site and tried a couple of the sketches. OMG ! I was hooked. I ended up buying all 8 of her sketch books (2 page layouts) and her 1 page layout book. I have done more scrapbooking in the past 6 weeks than I have done in probably 4 years.
Basically it revitalized me and made me WANT to scrapbook again.

I just went there today and this blog was deleted. :( I'm sad because for what I read it was very good. It's really sad to see it go even before knowing the content in it. The other link given with it gave the last sketch as well.
