I want a guillotine
I love my Creative Memories guillotine but I would like to find one that is big enough to cut 12x12 sheets. Does anyone know of such a one and what they think of it.
Thanks Zena
Tonic has one, too. I have the smaller one from Tonic (6x9?) and I really love it, but I'm wanting to get a 12x12 one as well. I love that I can shave off the slightest little slivers of paper and it's always straight and a clean cut.
Yes - call your demo! I resisted buying, and when I finally got mine - couldn't believe I'd waited so long! Its on page 199 of the current US catalog - the Tabletop Paper Cutter.
Another vote for the Tonic - I have the one with a full 12x12 platform so it's not the most portable tool in the world. Loved it so much that I also purchased the smaller ones - they won't cut 12x12, but they're nice for smaller pieces.
I love my Tonic...got it for my birthday last year and I use it pretty much every day...I don't use it for smaller cuts though...the cutting area is a bit too bulky to cut anything smaller than 2" in width but that's just my opinion. That has no bearing on how much I love the cutter. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
I have the 9" Tonic and it's awesome for portability AND gives great, straight, clean cuts. Only one layer of card stock, however; I tried cutting thru two once on my little 6" model and it blew the torque on the handle. :(
If I didn't already have (& need) a wicked awesome Carl DC220 15" (for mass cutting/class prep; it can cut thru up to 10 sheets of card stock at a time, like buttah), I'd probably get the Tonic 12" Guillotine with the 6" base.

I have the 12 x 12 Tonic and I love it! I had my reservations when it arrived and was so light weight/plastic base. But it has been wonderfuL! Cuts sharp and yes, even very tiny edge trimmings! Easy to tote around as it has a handle/carrier on one end. Feels so light weight feels almost cheap but performance is fantastic. I still also have my purple Fiskars paper trimmer for small jobs. But the cuts are so much nicer on the Tonic and with tons of use, still cuts sharp and smooth. No regrets here.

$24.95
The Standard 12" Guillotine - designed for the home and office. Safety guillotine is perfect for multiple sheets and straight cuts.
Works with accessory rotary trimmer Model 1071. Just snap the guillotine off and the rotary on. It will be the most compact and versatile tool in your collection.
Made by Purple Cow. I have it and think it's good.
Love my tonic cutters, I have a 12 x 12, a 12 x 6 (which has an extension to make it a 12 inch base), and a mini 6 inch base. I love and use them all. I keep my little 12 x 6 upstairs for the kid's projects, and anything we use for homeschooling. I also have a Carl cutter that my mom talked me into getting (which I simply ADORE for cutting multiple sheets of card stock!). I have had my tonics now for over 3 years and they are still going great! I just had DH oil the hinges on the big ones and they cut like buttah again.

Another vote for the Tonic! I have the 12"x12" and the little 6" and they're fantastic! I wish I hadn't waited so long to get them! And, like others have said, Tonic makes the SU! guillotine.
