Default What stamp "motifs" can you just not get enough of lately?

1. Woodgrain. I am crazy for woodgrain. I have one by All Night Media, one by Cornish heritage Farms, The one by Hero Arts that looks like a "swipe" of woodgrain. I have an unmounted one that I do not know the brand. I also have the Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder. Soooo, I still had to order the "Big" one by Hero Arts, just ordered it from ATRS. AND, I really like the ODBD one too. LOL!

2. Butterflies. OMG, I need them! I especially like the ones with a side view of the butterfly. And a butterfly with a flourish. And Monarchs. And Moths. And fancy butterflies. And, and, and.....

3. Trees. Gotta have them. Retro trees. Realistic trees. Stylized trees. Pine trees. Bare trees. Birch trees. Palm trees. Trees with leaves. Spooky trees. Dead trees. Trees with snow. Just leaves. Any trees. All trees.

What are yours?

I unashamedly, passionately adore all things birdie!

And clouds, since they go with birds.

There are definitely certain image types that I'm typically drawn to so much so that my mom and I joke about it. We have many similar ones butterflies, trees, woodgrain or other natural backgrounds I love all the SU cloth ones, leaves, snowflakes, flowers, and birds are just a few.

Leaves. Snowmen (but I'm fussy about these and very selective). Butterflies that don't look as if they are specimens pinned to a board {shudder}

Timely thread -- I was just thinking about this yesterday. I used to reach for some sort of swirl or flourish with every stamped project. Now I can't think of a single favorite (except for reindeer 'cuz it's Christmas!).

Bees. I have a whole box (a 12x12 scrapbook box) partly double-layered full of bees and beehives and honeypots. Of course, I also collect actal honeypots, so it's not much of a surprise.

Oooh, I'm extremely selective about my snowmen, too! Why is that??!!!

Makes me crazy sometimes.

I never tire of nature things, but, if I were to narrow it down to one single motif that just has me especially *giddy-giddy-ga-ga* lately, add me to the wood(grain) pile.

this is interesting. i always think that if I have one butterfly or one woodgrain, it was enough and too indulgent to buy more.

what was I thinking??

But, girl, there's whimsical butterflies, butterfly characters, realistic butterflies, different SPECIES of butterflies.

How can you just have one?

*clearly* you were not thinking Joan. do you have just one type of cardstock?
one type of ink?
one type of glitter?
I could go on...but i think you get my point!

it's a sickness I suppose. But like someone else said, we are all in good company.

Oh, and Red Cardinals too!

Butterflies
Ladybugs
Trees, as well as leaf and branch images
Woodgrain
snowflakes
farm scenes such as barns, old trucks, tractors, wood fences
And I know some will probably roll their eyes at this one, but...

I still love cupcakes!

Butterflies (can never have too many), birds, cats, flowers. Have a couple of greyhound stamps and have no idea where I got them. Too bad 'cause I'd buy more.

Flowers - can't seem to get enough. I really like large ones that take up almost the whole front of a card! Like tiny ones too to use for backgrounds. Think I'll make a flower card. Can't make myself do holiday ones yet! ;)

I had to laugh at #3. I love trees, too and you made me realize just how many tree stamps I have. Yet, I'm still searching for a nice bold bare tree that would also look good turned sideways so that I can perch my owl on its branches. If you know of one that fits that description please let me know!

Woodgrain
Floral (which is boring to say but I really can't stop with well done floral sets)

Other than those I do try to spread it out a bit.

For 8 years now, I haven't met a tree or leaf stamp I didn't like. I thought eventually I would have enough, but it turns out "enough" follows this equation: e = x + 1, with e being enough and x being the number of tree/leaf stamps I own.

I love trees, especially gorgeous evergreens. I am picky about those. I am in love with snowmen but am really picky about them, too.

hmmm... I think I have a few favorites:
  • flowers (any)
  • words/sentiments (Technique Tuesday/Amuse)
  • images to colour (whipper snapper/stamping bella)
  • trendy (PTI, Mint Motif)

I also like using stickers (SRM...but I'm a little biased) for sentiments/focal points, as well as using die-cuts (silhouette/slice) as the main "image" on a card... I have multiple-personality-disorder when it comes to card-making.

This is an interesting thread.

I have a weakness for trees, and mittens - can't seem to stop buying them.

I didn't realize that wood grain was so popular right now.

For Christmas, I can never get enough snowflakes, deer, trees and all styles and sizes of ornaments.

I seem to be strong on nature motifs and images in general. I have a ton of birds, mice, cats, and woodland critters. I also buy a lot of backgrounds, and those I have the most of. My latest backgrounds are a set of fragments by Tattered Angels, and a woodgrain by All Night Media.

I have a split personality when it comes to styles: I wander between very miinimalist and modern to vintage and collage style. Most of my stamps though, are stylized images. I don't seem to go in for the more realistic style of images.

Hearts...definitely hearts...I'm ridiculous about them! I've attached thumbnails of my index sheets (each page is 8 1/2" x 11", and there are six here) so you can see how addicted I am... The kraft portions are embossing folders/dies/punches. (I still buy more if I love 'em...!)

For me it's definitely butterflies, leaves, birds and flowers -- but I'm picky. But with the selection available, why shouldn't I be?

Since I'm thinking Christmas cards right now, I love stars, snowflakes, holly, birds, and peace images.

The rest of the year, flowers are my number one choice.

Hmmm ... definitely realistic flowers (and almost any sunflower or daisy), leaves, trees, woodland creatures (esp. deer and sqirrels), butterflies (these can be whimsical or realistic), cats (but my collection is sorely lacking), seashells, ocean life (esp. dolphins and seahorses) and backgrounds that add texture (such as SU's sanded or linen.)

And, almost any non-religious Christmas motif but especially snowflakes.

Fun thread!
