Default wish I hadn't paid for this...

have thoroughly enjoyed reading what everyone's pet peeves and faded trends have been...so knowing what I have regretted paying for...figured I'd ask what is something you have purchased that you wish you hadn't wasted the money on...

mine...the cricut Gypsy...I HAD to have one...and a year later...outside of the first month or so after purchase, I haven't used it. Spent a lot of time getting it set up and getting my cricut set up to use with the Gypsy...and haven't touched it for 10 months. I enjoyed "playing" with it and the welded letters option is great...but I just don't use it on a regular basis...which does NOT justify the price!

So what do you wish you hadn't purchased (or spent that much money on)?

I wish I hadn't bought the stampin up inks. I went to the trouble to make my own ink spots and have all the re-inkers and I rarely use them. With the time and money I spent on them, I wish I had now to put toward more copics. Once my niece gets a little bit more experienced at stamping, I will give them to her.

I wish I had not purchased the Crafter's Companion scoring boards and envelope maker.

I also wish I had not bought the Unity stamp handles. I am not a fan of most Unity stamps, but thought the handles looked very solid because they have wood sides . They can be used for cling stamps
I have small hands and they are cumbersome for me

I agree, the Crafters Companion. I've only used mine once or twice. Just about every cutter I've ever bought. And I have bought a lot of cutters.

Bind It All - only used once and I messed up my project. Thought I remembered how to use it from the LLS owner's demo. I guess I should have reviewed all the various How To's on YouTube.

I don't use my Big Bite often but sure am glad I have it when I do use it. I don't feel that way about the BIA.

I had the embossing machine that looked like a purse. I think it was called boutique something. Bought it at the clearence at Michaels for $10.00 never used it. So I sold it on ebay for $20.00.

I'll take your Stamp press of your hands, they're like hen's teeth here in the UK.

As for why did I buy that; it has to be my Bookatrix scoring board, used it once now it is sitting on a shelf.

i should add that I can't believe I bought any of the "grab bag" specials at stores...I have so many embellishments laying around that 1)I would never use and 2) I can't GIVE AWAY! so now they just take up space...because I'm too lazy to throw them out!

So much paper and embellishments that I bought only because they were on clearance without thinking "are these me". Embossing powders - never got the hang of them. Reinkers - I've never used up an ink pad! The ScrapRack - loved the idea, convinced myself it was great for awhile then just admitted it didn't work for me. Stickers (especially letter stickers). Vellum with pre-printed sayings. "Pound-of-paper" packs from Club Scrap -- just can't seem to use it.

SU Inks - got the entire set in each color way - about one month before they changed everything. I was NOT happy at all that my demo never said a word. I live on disability income and that was a ton of money saved over time to get those. Then, to make matters worse - I fell in love with Holtz distress inks... now my full line of unused SU ink pads and the re-inkers just sit here staring at me. I use other brands also - but I just never reach for those darn big, hard to open and handle su pads... it is one of those what on earth was I thinking!

Crop-a-dile (don't use it), Cricut (rarely use it), Scor Pal (bought MS board and like that one because of the 1/8" scores). That's what I can think of for now but if I really thought about it.....

My husband bought me a Bind It All for my birthday last year. I used it to make a few things and now it sits in a drawer.

I suppose that technically the BIA doesn't really count since DH bought it for me! lol

Gee, where do I even start? I look at all the stuff I have accumulated over the years and am shocked by how much I have and don't really use. From paper to tools, so much just sits here. I have a BIA and swear I am going to use it for myself someday (use it for DD's school projects every so often), I have boatloads of paper I love but never use, stamps that I don't remember buying, a Crop a Dile and a Big Bite that both collect dust...Yikes! The list could go on and on! Maybe I should take this as a hint I should slow down my collecting and speed up my creating!

I think that the new SU owl punch is so cute, but I don't know how often I'll use it.

Other than that, the crop-O-dile (I never use it) and the texture plates for the Big Shot (I prefer the embossing folders).

Then there are about 1200 sheets of 12 x 12 one-sided paper.

I don't have many regrets but I guess mine would be the crop-a-dial.(I've never had a big enough stamping budget to make too many mistakes!) I've rarely used it. I did get it with a 30% off SU demo discount, so I don't feel too bad!

I do use the larger eyelets from SU on that cute retired retro camper (a camping SU set). It's so cute to put a big eylet in the window of that great camper! It's been so long since I used that set that I can't remember it's name!

Mine would have to be the fiskars paper crimper I just had to have, it's never been used. And the circle cutter tool that I purchased because it looked so awesome at the scrapbooking convention, that sucker was so darn hard to use! I eventually gave it away along with the replacement blades.

I got the xyron personal cutter and a few books, they just sit there since I have punches, dies for the BS and a cricut, really no use for this.
Wish we could get together and do one great big swap! I would love a crimper! LoL

While I am an avid Cricut user, my Gypsy collects dust! Just too much darn bother, has too many bugs. I used it once to cut the word "princess" out melded together for a scrap page. Yes it turned out beautiful. I've used it to search for a certain cut. i.e. search for all the graduation hats, etc. Well that was a LOT of money for one cut and a search tool!

For me it is storage stuff. I am always on a hunt for the perfect storage solutions for ribbons, embellishements, etc.... have tons of "containers" and "organizers" that aren't really what I need, and some aren't even getting used.

For me it would be my Wheel Press. Put any wheel in it --takes both big and small --and your ink cartridges and it makes a perfect wheel image. But --have kind of forgotten how to really use it --and also ---do not hardly ever, ever use my wheels!!

Mine would be the Cricut Design Studio. It was great til my computer crashed and even though they let me put it back on, I lost all of my "patterns". Can't even resell it, so will keep that in mind when purchasing.

Oh I so hear you, mine is paper organization, this is my 3rd generation of paper storage over the last 5 years. I am finally happy with what I have, now to just pair down my mountain of paper!

The biggest thing for me is storage stuff too, but I also hate it when I buy something and then they bring out something like it with better capabilites. Like for instance, punches. Now they are flat and easier to store! Mostly I cringe whenever I give something away that I thought was wonderful and that I just had to have it! I bought some ribbon storage cases and found something better to hold my ribbon so I was stuck with two cases that could only hold about 7 rolls each. My new storage for ribbon holds at least 50-60 rolls!

Mine would be the Creative Memories punches that I bought when I first started scrapbooking about 5 years ago - I bought them ALL over about a year....they're so big, bulky and heavy that I don't use them all that often and now there are so many other options for cute punches....but I can't justify spending money on more punches when I have a box full sitting there hardly being used.
