Is the Glue Glider Pro the same as the ATG tape dispenser that everyone is talking about getting at Michaels? When buying the refills through "findtape.com" or "tape depot" are you buying them by the case? That is a huge investment (although I'm sure it will last a LONG time) Just wondering if there are smaller quantities of the refills that you can buy.

Melinda, the ATG gun and tape is much cheaper in the long run than most other adhesives. I waited a long time to get it, because it seemed so much more expensive than buying some bottles of glue, but after the initial investment for the gun, the refill tape can be found for a reasonable price.
Getting the pink gun at Mikes and using a coupon makes it super affordable, and I think the gun comes with a couple of rolls of tape, too.
I just got 12 rolls (36 yards per roll, 1/4" tape) for $22.95 from Tape Depot on ebay. The shipping was free, so it's a really good deal. Don't know why they sell it cheaper on ebay than at their website, but they do.
12 rolls sounds like a lot, but if you make very many cards and other projects, you can go through the tape (or any other adhesive) pretty fast.
The best thing about the gun and tape, other than it's cheaper than other types of adhesives, is that it really holds your stuff together. You don't have to worry about layers on your cards lifting off, or boxes you've made coming undone after you've given a gift to someone.
There is a slight learning curve to using the gun, but after you've made a few things with it, I'll bet you wouldn't go back.

thanks buggainok - that's the info I needed. Can you give me a link the correct tape to get on ebay? I'm afraid I would buy the wrong type/size to fit in the ATG from Michaels.
I like the small size and the price of the Glue Glider Gun, so I use it with the ATG tape. The Glue Glider refills are way too expensive. I think the last time I priced the two, GG was $8 for 30ft. and ATG was $1.40 for 30yds. Yes, that is feet compared to yards! Huge difference in price.
So, you're saying the ATG tape fits in the Glue Glider? Wow, I didn't know that! I will have to look into it!
And Melinda, if you buy in very large quantities, you can get the ATG tape even cheaper.. down to like $1.11 a roll for 36 yards. It is a HUGE investment, but I always go in with other people. I either find people here on SCS, or I have about 4-5 friends that use ATG's, so we split the cost and the tape. It's much more affordable that way.

It doesn't fit as is, you have to unroll some of it. I just unroll it onto a smaller tape runner I have, so I get two tape dispensers loaded at the same time.

What a great video that would be, you should think about filming that, if you have a camera, that is.
Great info to have. I have the Glue Glider and now that I know the ATG refills will fit it (with a slight adjustment), I'll look for the refills in my local craft stores. Thanks. By the way, when is the video coming Pakate?

I'd like to see this too! I'll even take still shots if you can't make a video!! And Thank you in advance!
