Default It is soo fun!!

I agree that it's soo much fun! I just started papercrafts a couple months ago and I don't have a lot of the supplies that are used in making the cards - my wish list has grown tremendously I love that there are step-by-step videos that show me how to do things. I've been crafty all my life and I do make jewelry to sell but the papercrafts has me hooked!! Does anyone know much about quilling? (I know, silly question!!) I'm excited to have this site as a guide!!

Hi to both you newbies, and welcome from New Zealand! I have been been stamping for 10 years and am just as excited about it now as when I started! It is such a fun hobby.
To answer your question Suzanne, quilling is a three dimensional paper craft where designs and pictures are put together using small tightly rolled coils of different coloured paper. You can buy pre-cut strips of paper and a special quilling tool to roll them up, or cut your own and use a large darning needle (you slip the end of the paper into the eye of the needle to hold it firm while you roll up the paper). It is a bit fiddly but the effect can be stunning. Don't worry, there is no such thing as a silly question - we all love to help here!

Me too! My wish list is tremendously long so for now I'll stick with the basics!! There are so many things I want so I can do more crafting!! I also love the step by step videos!! That's pretty much where I started & have went from there!!
And thank you Stephanie - I also don't know anything about quilting (paper or fabric) but it sounds interesting

Hi indigo.moonlight (fabulous username by the way!), sorry but I haven't done any quilting although I love the end result. However someone here is bound to have. I love the technique videos too, very inspiring and it is great to actually see someone use the technique instead of just reading how to do it. You will have so much fun here!

Welcome Indigo Moonlight! You'll find all sorts of inspiration and answers to all your questions here at Splitcoast. Everyone is always so helpful and I know many have formed lifelong relationships through these forums. I hope you enjoy your time here.

BTW, I logged on tonight to post a question about stamping/scrapbooking stores in Quebec City and your post was on top of the forums list showing your hometown! I live in NH and we are driving up in two weekends. It's my first time to Quebec City and I can't wait. And of course, I have to look for any stores to support my crafting passion! That's what we do!

Yes I really do find everyone so nice on here already!! So nice to find other people with the same interest as me!
I'm going to have to look up quilting on video just to see what it's all about!! *Not that I would be anywhere near the level to try it yet* !!

bbgirl66 - you will have so much fun when you visit Quebec!! I posted a reply to your question about scrapbook stores in the area in the other thread.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!!
