Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2008 & 2009 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2010! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2010! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for October. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for October, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund! It's BACK! Oh yes, our Thursday Challenge is back in the form of a FEATURED SCRAPPER! If you've ever played Featured Stamper on Sunday's you know how this works, each Thursday we'll feature a scrapper's gallery for you to scraplift from! Pick any layout in their gallery, scraplift, upload and post back here to the thread so we can enjoy your scraplift! We'll use THURFSxx (date there) and of course SBC10Sep for the upload keywords!
We're going to launch another Thursday Challenge for 2010! I'm so excited!!
SCS 52 Week Thursday Goal Challenge!
This year on Thursdays you'll be invited to join us for our 52 Week Scrap Challenge. These challenges will be PERFECT whether you're working on your kids albums, 2010 Family Album, Daily Life Album or a "BOM" (Book of Me).
We have a SPECIAL Hostess for every month and each Thursday they will post a challenge that goes with their theme for the month! By the end of the year, you'll have some GREAT pages or a complete 2010 Scrapbook...OR BOTH! :mrgreen:

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )

Okay bring it on Oct. my goal will be 100 pages most will be finishing my gift albums. I really need to buck up and find my Mojo! So bring it on October!!!!!!

I am so excited to be back! I am going to set my goal for 10 pages and of course I am going to stick to my huge stash. I will be going to a retreat the 8-10 so I may meet my goal. If so, I will increase it! I am looking forward to mini VSBN too!
I didn't even come close to my September goal, but I did meet my goal for the year! So, I think I'll go for 5 pages this month. With a little reverse psychology, maybe I'll surprise myself and do a bunch more!
I've got 2 or 3 pages started but never managed to finish them during September. I'm still setting my goal for 4 (again) and hoping I get lots of extras done thru VSBN!
I only completed 4 pages in September, so I totally blew off my goal, but I'm starting this month off right by going up to the mountains for a scrapbook retreat. Woohoo! Three days of scrapbooking uninterrupted by "Honey, where did you put the electricity bill?" and "Mommy, he took my train." Lela, I decided I am going to do a layout a day challenge (LOAD) this month, so we'll see if I can crank out 31 layouts. If anyone wants to join me, I'll post details on my blog.
I only got 4/10 completed for September, but I'll stick with it and go for 10 again in October. I leave tomorrow for SLC for a retreat and won't be home until Thanksgiving Monday, October 11th. But I should be able to get 10 done after that time.

I thought I had set my September goal at 10 and was totally beating myself up that I only completed 2. Now I feel better seeing that my goal was actually 5! lol
For October I'm going to shoot for 5 again. I have lots of pics just not enough time. Isn't that always the case?
I have a very busy October so I'm going to set my goal low this month but enough to reach 100 for my YTD...so 8 pages. Next month is VSBN and I'm hoping to hit my YTD goal then! :-)
Here is my first page for Oct 1988 Wedding and my last of these wedding pictures...now I can get back to digi scrapping, at least until VSBN. I just ordered 30 free pics from Shutterfly about things that I know I've bought papers and stickers for a long time ago to do paper pages so hopefully VSBN will have challenges where I can use those things up.

Yup, I made cards most of the day today, did some of these challenges ... I printed lots of Scrap Sketches though so I'm planning tomorrow for some scrap time... :cool:

I just found a scrapper that needs some encouragement. She just did her first 3 pages and downloaded to her gallery and I think they are gorgeous! Splitcoaststampers Member Galleries - demodarla - Handmade Cards & Crafts

Just checked out demodarla's gallery and left some love on her scrapbook pages. You're right, they're nice! Thanks for your thoughtfulness towards her. You're a great example of the super gals we have here on SCS!

Scrapbook goal: April 7/10 MAY /5 YTD 32
I actually completed a digi page today that I must have started 3 months ago...found it by accident last week so I'll upload it tomorrow if I remember.
I thought I was finished entering my DH business records but turns out everything I entered from July 1 to current will need to be redone cause I put it into the "wrong" company. He became an LLC effective 7/1 and a "new" company needs to be started and those transactions entered into it. sigh.....I can't start it until the end of October so I better enjoy the free time while I've got it!
I am not going to set a goal for the month of Oct. I went to a week end crop that started Friday and have completed 17 pages for the month. Of course I owe from last month as I did not met my goal of ten. So, after a nap today, I am working on getting pictures taken and readied for posting.
I may get a few more pages done for the month.............I will be looking at the challenges.
I want to join in this month. Setting the goal last month really helped me stay focused even if it was only for the last 2 weeks. I have a question before I set my goals...Do you only count actual pages that go in your scrapbook or do you also count mini's that you make? Thinking about baby making a couple as gifts etc.

Back from my scrapbook retreat. I got 13 layouts done - woohoo! Hopefully I can keep going and finish my LOAD challenge this month. Only 18 layouts to go. ;)
It's for the new Inspiration Challenge I just posted which runs from today through October 17 at 11:59 pm EST.
Don't forget there will be a drawing for a prize. (Melisa is offering another package of great Christmas scrapping goodies!) The more points you accumulate, the more chances to win the random drawing! You may enter as many pages as you'd like.

Here is just one of the 17 pages I finished for the month of Oct. I made a card today for one of the challenges. Now I have to get the rest of my scrap pages loaded.
