Default tape frustrations

i couldnt find the pink atg gun yet
so i decided to buy adtech and it doesnt seem to hold very well?
my question is can i just buy the atg tape and use it without the gun?
probably not the most efficient but will it hold better?

I just saw the Pink ATG at Michael's at lunch! They had a special breast cancer display with all sorts of fun pink stuff. They were still putting it together when I was there.

Yeah, adtech used to be good. I liked the Duck brand until they changed it to those slitty things. It does hold tho...

My favs are Creative Memories (white tho and hold FOREVER) and the Stampin' up which is the adtech snail but the tape is so much better. It is clear and holds really well.

I figure the good adtech glue is going to Stampin' Up! now! LOL

i haven't tried the ATG on chipboard...so can't say if it will hold or not...typically with chipboard or grungeboard...a liquid adhesive like aleen's or art glitter glue works really well...fabri-tac is another option...but it's a bit on the heavy side...i would use sparingly...another option is glossy accents by ranger...will hold just about anything...but...if any "oozes" out the side...you will have a shiny spot on your project...so i would stick with aleen's or art glitter glue...

I feel I would have a very difficult time using the ATG tape without the gun. I think I would have a sticky mess with sticky all over my fingers and not on the pieces I want to glue down.

I've had pretty good luck with chipboard accents using glue dots to hold them.

You can find them at Mikes, Joann and Hobby Lobby. I don't know about Walmart?

No, Wal-Mart doesn't have a craft section to speak of anymore.

Michael's has a 50% off coupon good today (Sun) and tomorrow - so if you're interested in the pink ATG, this is a good time to get one.
