Default SU STOPPED ORDERS ON NEW PUNCH!

I recently placed an order for the NEW 2 1/2" Circle punch listed in the 2010 Mini Holiday catalog. Only to be told by my demo that SU is stopping all orders and shippments on them until further notice due to many returns of jammed punches.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY WILL FIX THEM ANY TIME SOON? I needed it for a Halloween thing, and plus purchased a new stamp that coordinates with the punch. So Im a bit dismayed.

Does anyone have further info on this?

We don't have a date or any more info than you've been given. The first one I got didn't work but the replacement did but a LOT of people were having trouble with them. It's not really a problem on SU's side but a problem from EK success since they are who makes them. I'm assuming a ton of people were having problems since they stopped taking orders for them.

The new design just doesn't seem to work as well, IMHO! I know there were a lot of problems with the large flower punch back one mini as well. I'm sorry that you can't get what you need for your project, that's a big bummer! If you have a big shot and the circles #2 die, there is a circle the same size as the punch.

I was also going to point out the BS die which is roughly the same price as the punch (assuming you have a BS machine)

I had the same problem. They told me when I called in that the circle and flower punch were pulled. It sounded like they would be replacing them soon, though!

Minders, What are the sizes of the circles on the circle die#2? I had a bad circle punch and just replaced with another punch I didn't have instead of waiting for SU to work it out.

not sure but you can also use nesties circles for your project. You pay a little bit more but you also get 5-6 sizes instead of just one.

I was also going to recommend the nesties. I have found that the multi cuts dies are great for using the cut out shapes but if you want just one circle (or star or whatever) in the middle of a card you can't do that with a die that cuts three different sizes all at the same time. I love Nesties for this. Good luck. I had the same problem with one of their punches not being available last Christmas and I was super disappointed that I couldn't do the project that I had planned on.

GREAT.. the big flower punch is being pulled too? I did notice that my big flower sort or drags a bit when using it, and isn't a smooth motion. Now onto contact my demo abt it.

I have the new circle punch, and for me it works very well. I did have problems with the heart punch, and had to call for a replacement of that one. I hope I won't have the same issue with the circle punch!

My ornament punch jammed within a week of buying it. They did give me a replacement though which works great. But I was NOT happy. Hopefully with all the punching I have to do come christmas time it holds up. Considering they only give 28 days right of return, it will be too late by then to return it if it does fail again.

You have 90 days to return stuff I believe. May I ask where you got this number?
