Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host the TLC challenge this week and I have a really fun challenge for you.....we are going to stamp on tissue paper!! However, we have to prepare the tissue paper first. You can find all the deets and added details in the Stamping on Tissue Paper Tutorial found here.
Steps for stamping on tissue paper
1. Spritz tissue paper with water till wet and dry with heat tool.
2. Stamp image on dried paper
3. Cut out image and create your card
Here are some tips to remember:
1. Don't move the tissue paper once it's wet or else it will tear....just dry with the heat tool.
2. After the paper is dry, try sponging to highlight the little wrinkles.
3.You can add Perfect pearls or Pearl Ex to your spray bottle of water for a little shimmer on the paper.
4. You can also spritz your tissue Paper with Glimmer Mist for a lot of shimmer!!
5. So your don't have a spray bottle...that's ok. Just wad up your tissue paper and get it really wrinkly before you stamp on it.
6. Have Fun!!
This looks like a fun technique. Thanks for posting tonite......I can dream about what to make for the challenge. I can't wait to see what everyone does with this. Such a cool idea.
Joan, this looks like fun. Why do you wet, then dry, then stamp? Why don't you just stamp on the tissue paper? Just wondering what the extra step is for.
Thanks,
Sue

Wetting the paper and then drying it makes the paper stiffer and adds a little different texture....a crinkly wrinkled look. I added the Perfect Pearls powder to my water and it left a really pretty shimmer to the paper, especially on darker tissue paper.
Oh Joan those samples are amazing. I will be missing in action for the next 3 weeks. We leave tomorrow on a cruise of the Holy Lands, Turkey, Istanbul then into the Black Sea, Russia, and the Ukraine. I was very tempted to work on this but I really need to do packing and not crafting. See you all in 3 weeks.

Joan.........when I first read this I was thinking "kleenex" type tissue........and then my fuzzy brain kicked in and I realized it's the wrapping paper type of tissue..
I'm gonna give it a try.............I really love your samples.
Back in a while.
