Over Nighter - regularly $200pp SCS Rate - $140pp Includes two nights lodging in the bunkhouse (5 p.m. Friday � 3 p.m. Sunday) and five meals starting with dinner Friday night through breakfast on Sunday. There are 14 bunkbeds in the bunkhouse. The mattresses are not the flimsy, cheapy kind. They are actual thick bed mattresses and are very comfortable.
Saturday only - regularly $80pp SCS Rate - $35pp Includes three meals and 15 hours of crop time starting at 9am Saturday through midnight.
This will be a huge Shoe Box Swap where we can create and have fun! Everyone who comes should plan to participate. There will be 40 stations, so please bring your shoebox filled with the supplies needed for each participant plus two (2) samples; one for your station and one for the display board.
How do I Register?
Any SCS member can come. All you need to do is post on this thread that you want a spot. There is a maximum of 40 spots available � so It�s First Come, First Served! If warranted, I will start a waiting list for those who want to get those spots vacated for various reasons. When you sign up, please specify if you are an Overnighter or Saturday Only.
*** This event will be PEANUT-FREE! One of our regular swappers is deathly allergic to peanuts, so please make sure that you do not bring any snacks that contain peanuts. ***

Waiting List:
1. No Children Event - we all love our kiddos, but this is going to be your day away to have a little YOU time.
2. Cutoff Date - If I have not received your registration form and payment, by SEPTEMBER 10, 2010, you will be booted from the Participant List and someone from the Wait List will replace you. No Exceptions!
3. If you send registration form and payment only to find out that you have to drop, it will be your responsibility to find a replacement. Work out payment between you because I will have already cashed your check and most likely used it for food or rentals.
4. Door Prizes - If you intend on bringing a door prize, please set your limit between $20 - $30. You are welcome to spend more than that if you choose, but know that you may not receive a door prize that carries the same value. It's always good to handmake your prize, but feel free to put together a goodie bag of your favorite craft items to give away.
More details, such as card specifications, schedules, FAQ, etc to be added. I just had hand surgery on Thursday, so I can only do things in little spurts. Typing with one hand is SLOOOOOWWWWWWW.

For the overnighters, will we be also having time to do our own cropping? before and after the shoebox part is over? I'd love to do this but can't imagine how this would work inside a weekend stay?
Hi Brenda. I have a request... Lighthouse Hospice is a local hospice facility here in Georgetown. One of the chaplains, Bonnie, is a regular guest at my retreat center and will also be attending the swap. Bonnie has requested that we make one extra card that can be donated to Lighthouse Hospice. Staff members regularly send cards to their patients family members.
I was originally going to donate a set of cards from the August 21 swap, but that event has been cancelled.
Let me know if this is something we can do for the hospice facility.

Overnighters can work on cropping stuff on Friday night, on Saturday night, and Sunday (until 3, I think?). I will be honest with you though---you will be exhausted on Saturday night and may just wanna veg out with the girls.
