I know right! I recognized you right away...said "Hi" on another thread...it's great to *see* you again and to "play" again with everyone...I can't wait. My girls and I are planning a weekend of it!

Sounds like fun ladies. But I just read the rules and it says I have to create a layout in 2 hours. I"m not sure I can pull that off. I'm wandering how you gals prepare?? Do you page plan?? I usually go shopping with my photo's and get paper / embellishments. I do have some photo's and paper matched up from a few years back that I had put together for a retreat. Maybe I can make that work.

I think the rules for this one are that you get 3 hours to do each page instead of 2, Melisa.
They usually have a master list a week or two in advance of the VSBN of the kinds of photos and/or embellies. (Not sure if they do that for the mini, tho.) So the trick is to get photos printed and ready to go and to have embellies, tools, adhesives, etc. handy. You may or may not be able to use pre-selected papers. A lot depends on the nature of the challenge and what they say in advance. If you look at one of the previous VSBNs you can get an idea of what kinds of challenges come up.
It's fun, but I, like you, am not usually a 2-hour scrapper. Maybe having the 3 hours will do the trick!

I'm actually out of town for a shoebox swap the day of the Mini, but will check in and see what everyone is up to when I get home. I looked for an older one but can't find it. I went back one step to the Virtual Scrapbooking board. Can you link me??

To view older VSBN forum threads, go to the Virtual Scrapbooking board, scroll down until you see "Display Options" on the left. Where it says "From the" click on the box and change "last 100 days" to "Last Year." You should see several old VSBNs. Hope that helps!
A while ago SCS changed the default time period that we can view to 100 days. This maintains a faster online experience. Following the above instructions when you want to view more, should work in any forum. |

Nicole -- so glad someone "put a bug in your ear" about the upcoming challenges. A little motivation to get you goin' again.
