Hello there - just thought I'd introduce myself as I've been told so much about you all here that I finally decided after lurking for a while that it was time to register and get involved
My name is Tracy and I live in Lincolnshire in the UK.
I have been card making and scrapbooking for nearly 6 years now and I love it. I especially love stamping thanks to a friends who introduced me to Stampin Up.
I'm loving looking at everyone's beautiful creations and can not believe how talented everyone is.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all here.
Hi Tracey - Welcome to SCS. I too lurked for a while, but am beginning to get into the swing of it. I'm also in the UK - North Wales for me. I only found Stampin Up this year, but like it a lot
Ohhhh, I have a question for the UK people. I have a friend whose daughter just married a guy from the UK (they went to high school in Switzerland) and he has the ozzy osbourne accent. My daughter informs me that each area has an accent over there much like we do in the USA...I am from Texas and I can't hear me drawl ;).
Anyway, if anyone over there should read this...I love, love, love Dawn French in the Vicar of Dilby (very old show) and her assistant has a very distinct accent. From where does she hail? I am literally making a map so I can identify my British sit coms...I watch all the old ones (and some new) on Dallas Public Broadcasting System. The new one I am watching is about a doctor in Wen...something. Last night was hilarious about the water problem and swimming in, well, poop--how is that??

Hi Linda
This is a great show - always makes me laugh - although sadly no new episodes :( Just done a quick google and according to Wiki the show is based in a fictional Oxfordshire village. They will be "doing" a local accent of some kind. Hope this helps.
Hiya Tracy,
Welcome to the forums. I was very uncertain about joining in for a while but finally took the plunge and signed up and now really enjoying interacting with everybody.
There is such a wealth of information available too, all you have to do is ask a question and someone, somewhere will have an answer.
I'm originally from London, came to Australia yonks ago when I was eleven years old and loving it here.....climate is great!
