Good Morning Ladies! Wasn't Wendy's challenge fun! It's time to start a new contest! For the next 4 weeks you have an opportunity to play along and earn points. For each point you earn, your name goes in the drawing. Are you ready?? Oh, but I guess you want to know who the winner is from the last contest ... Well I need to total my points for my challenge and put the names in a bowl still. So I'm off to check out the galleries and I will post the winner on another thread. I will start a "And the winner is" thread and post the winners for each contest there each time.

2 yards of Christmas Ribbon, Vintage Images from the Shabby Cottage, tags, one of those cool Christmas tree stick pins by Making Memories, 2 glittery cardnal buttons, photo ornament by Creative Imaginations, and some sentimetn rub-ons, handmade tag by me!!
This contest will be another Christmas Prize package. Perfect to help get you started with some of those Christmas projects.
The Challenge
The inspiration challenge for the next 2 weeks is to stamp on a medium other than paper. What a great way to create your own embellishments! And so much fun.
Here are a few idea's to inspire you :
On my first sample I have stamped on cork.
I could only post 4 photo's here, so check out the details in the SIC82 Gallery.
On this one I stamped on clay.
Another idea is to stamp on another scrapbook embellishment.
Other mediums that it might be fun to stamp on:
acetate, ribbon, felt, canvas.
Here is how you can earn points for this challenge
5 points : Stamping on another medium besides paper. 5 points for each type medium you try. For example if you stamp on ribbon and a flower, then that's 10 points!
5 points :
Get a new person, someone who hasn't played in the last 2 inspiration challenges, to play along.
3 points : combine this challenge with one of the other Scrapbook Challenges here at SCS.
2 point : advertise our challenge and that it is a 4 week contest with a prize package. Add this info in the comments section under your photo in the gallery. 2 points each time you do it with a layout for our challenges!
1 point : use stars on your layout.
1 point : use colors to inspire you from one of my layouts.
1 point : stamp your title with a Font stamp set.
Please calculate you points for us and list them in a comment here. If you don't tell us how you your layout qualifies for each challenge, we may miss something. And we would absolutely LOVE it if you let everyone know about our challenge in the comment section for your photo!
I love the look of stamping on the cork. I don't know what I've got to stamp on in my stash however. I know I've got acetate and ribbon but I think that's it. I've never bought the large flowers (only have the teeny Primas). Would the vellum tags count perhaps or is that still considered paper?
Many of you enjoy VSBN and have yet to take the leap into Hosting an event. With our scrapbookers numbers getting smaller, we need ALL of you to advertise the SCS VSBN on any other sites and forums you visit...PLEASE! In addition, we need a few more Hosts to develop and moderate VSBN Challenges. Be sure to check out the VSBN Forum for more information; you can always PM me with questions.

Wendy. Thanks chick. I changed it to oct. I just meant the deadline for this particular challenge is Oct at midnight to qualify for the prizes, since you post on Oct 4.
Terry, I think vellum counts. You can also stamp on those little prima's if you have a polka dot stamp or any kind of small patterned background stamps.
Mary Pat, I'm new to scrapbooking at SCS. I will hop over and check out the thread, since I'm not familiar with it. I will put a little advertisement in my side bar about the scrapbook challenges here.

I'm here! Unfortunately...sort of. DGS is home sick from school and we just both woke up from a nap. I've got a page started that I'm trying to think of something to put on it other than paper things...ribbon is going to work and I want to look to see if I have any fabric that might work. The trick is going to be trying to go upstairs while he is awake downstairs watching TV..he doesn't like to be left alone.
Melisa...you say in your challenge to use colors inspired by one of your layouts. Does this mean the 2 you have posted specifically for this challenge?
Terry -- don't forget Diana's variety challenge from a few weeks back was to use ribbon too!
OK Thanks! I usually try to go thru all the recent challenges to see if my layout will fit any. I've got this thing laid out but I have to figure out how to do a title...paper creating is SO challenging! And then to top it all off, DH came home from work early yesterday sick...certainly hope none of them pass it on to me! (Fingers crossed)

Just a 24 hour thing for the both of them and fortunately I didn't catch it! Hope you get to feeling better soon...it's certainly not fun feeling ill!
I finally got my layout finished tonight...just before the deadline (which seems to be the way of things lately) and since I can't upload on Sundays, the picture isn't the best but it gave me an excuse to use a new technique I learned from Scrapbook Memories show on how to use a high pass filter to help with the blur and it actually did work...still blurry but not as much!
I think I ended up with 37 points but if they don't all count, that's OK with me. I wasn't able to use the color scheme points since I had already started this page before I realized I was to use your layouts for the color inspiration part...

24 points for using 8 different challenges other than SIC82
