Post Hello from Northern California

Hi, My name is Tamara and I'm a beginner to the world of stamping. I took my first technique class in August with a Stampin Up Demonstrator & I loved it! She recommended SCS to me this weekend and I joined yesterday. There are so many great techniques and ideals, I can't wait to learn some of them.

Let's just say I was introduced to stamping around 2000. Slowly but surely I am stamping outside the box. KWIM?
What projects are you working on? I am almost finished with my Christmas Cards.

Hi Tamara! I'm from Northern CA too! Welcome to SCS and the world of stamping. Have you checked out the resources section? There are tons of super cute tutorials to try new ideas and techniques as well as the different challenges. Everyone is really friendly and helpful here so post away and hopefully we'll see you around the gallery and forums.

Hi Marie,

I am working on the Blended Pencil technique by Lydia and trying to come up with a Fall Tea invitation. I am taking a workshop class in November to do my Christmas cards. Did you make Christmas cards in one design or several? My class will be nine cards in one design.

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you! I am currently trying the Blended Pencils technique by Lydia that I found under news, but I will definitely check out the resources section. How long have you been a Stampin Up Demonstrator? I love their products!

Tamara,

I'm glad you mentioned the Blended Pencils technique, I haven't had a chance to try this yet but it looks like a lot of fun. I will have to play with that soon. How did it work out for you?

I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for a little over two years and have been a big fan for about four or five years. (My friend tried to convince me to be a demo for a long time before I finally listened to her; turned out she was right - I love it ). It really is a great company with lots of fun products. I'm glad you've been enjoying it!
