I still have mine on the cardboard they came with but they are starting to fall off the strip of tape! Looking for some ideas on how to store them. I was thinking about CD cases but am not sure if they will fit.
I store them on a key ring. When i want to take them somewhere I clip the key chain to my carrying case. They hang under my desk lamp when they are not traveling

Reason: forgot a word
Mine are in individual ziplok bags and in a plastic snaptop box. Sad, but it works. My biggest problem is that I don't know if I have the small or the large versions. I understand they aren't all that different, so I guess that's okay, I don't do much layering.

I bought one of those cases where you can put CD's in when you travel ... it has pockets inside for each CD. So what I did was made a little sheet to stick the Nestie set on ... using hard paper and magnet paper. Each set has its own slot in the case. I dont know if this makes sense or not. Hope so!
I also store mine in clear cd cases. You need the old style, not the new slim cases. I had a bunch already, so I took out the black inserts. I altered them with scrapbooking paper, and then put a 1" wide magnet strip down the center of each side. It works well. Then I labeled the spines with my label maker, and they are in a wood CD holder that matches my desk.

I store mine on "Command" Hangers on the wall above my table. If you wish, you can PM me and I will attach a picture, as I don't know how to attach one here.
I have mine on chipboard with magnetic sheets attached to them. I then put them in a plastic sleeve from Office Depot and hang them on a drapery rod with drapery hooks.
When I take the black insert out of the CD holder it is no longer completely closed. There is an open strip on the front. How do you deal with that?
So far it isn't an issue at all - nothing has ever fallen through the crack, and since my cases are in a CD rack they also don't get dusty. You could attach a piece of paper there, gluing it on the outside edge, folding in - laminate it for longer lasting use. That should keep whatever dust out that might creep in.
Don't throw away those folders! I keep mine in their original folders, with a few modifications. I rip off the double sided tape and instead adhere a piece of thin magnet (vent cover that's been cut to fit inside of folder). Now I can store my Nesties inside the folder, and I just keep them in a CD storage box where I can flip through them easily to see which one I need. The original folders make it very easy to identify size/shape. For the basic shapes, like circles, ovals, squares, rectangles I can store both sets in one folder, one folder for lg. and small plain circles, one folder for lg. and small scalloped circles, etc. Takes up very little room. I've also added tabs to the tops of the folders so I can file through them quickly finding what I need.
I even make new folders for other dies (PTI, MFT) I just cut down a regular manila folder to size put in a magnet and label it.
Works for me!

I did a post on how I store mine. I have my long nesties in those QK magnetic folders that Patter talked about & store all my regular nesties in a double CD zipper case & I LOVE it! I buy magnetic sheets & cut them to fit in the pockets. So easy & convenient...works for me! I'm told that you can get the magnetic sheets at Lowe's or Home Depot for like $5. in the dept. that sells ac registers, they are to cover those...so next time I need them I will try there first if I can save some money. Here's the link to my post:
I bought some adhesive-backed magnet sheets from Oriental Trading and put them on the wall where I die cut. I have all my favorite dies on these magnets and then the ones I don't use as much, I put into the Spellbinders carry case. Here is a picture of my storage. I don't have a "fancy" crafting space but it does get the job done.
I keep mine in their original packaging, plastic "hang" casing and all. I buy the really cheap metal curtain "rings" (12 for about $1) in the curtain rod department at Wal-Mart, and I put them--lots of them, but they're cheap!--over the rod in my craft room closet. Then I just open up a coated paper clip, hang one end of it from the curtain ring, and hang the Nestabilities from the other end.
I do the same with other dies and some embellishment packages, too. I can just flip through the "display rack" and quickly unhook whatever I need.

I store mine in an enclosed binder. I cut chipboard panels to fit inside my binder and I attach strips of magnetic tape to hold the nesties in place. I can usually store four sets per panel (2 in front/2 in back).
I find that the CD cases with a magnetic strip to fit the bottom of the case is great I just stuck the magnetic strip with DS tape (best invention EVER) and it works great - oh & I wrote the name of the nestie on the edge of the case with a sharpie

THIS post shows how I store my Nestabilities (and embossing folders). This was not my idea - I got it from someone who was on the Spellbinder's Design Team. I love this method of storage! Hope this helps!

Nestabilities and Spellbinders are kinda addicting! It does help that I was on the 2009 Spellbinders Design Team. That is the BEST company to work with!
I have a post on my blog - here - showing how I store mine. I use heavy plastic CD envelopes and store them in a pretty basket on my work table. The large ones stick out of the top of the envelopes but that's ok with me.

I store mine in CD cases also. I just pull the black insert out of the case and attach a magnetic strip to one side of the case (I use magnetic business cards) and it works really well! I then label the end of the CD case with my labeller and have them all standing up in a wicker basket where I can see the names and have easy access. P.S. the magnetic business cards have a pce. of paper on them you pull off and it's adhesive underneath (for sticking your business card to normally) so sticks right to the case. Bonus!

Reason: missed some info
Like a lot of other posters here, I also store mine in CDs with a strip of magnet. This works for all but the very largest sizes of a couple of sets. But since I would never use the very large ones, they go in a drawer with other odd die cuts. I use a label maker to label the ends of each CD case. I have a CD rack that will hold 60 CDs. I have the nesties organized in the rack by type (circles, ovals, labels). This works very well for me.
I made a great 8 x 10 book by taking magnetic sheets and adhearing them to chipboard, then binding them together with my Bind It All. I'm going to try to post a picture below (sorry if it doesn't work). Whether I'm traveling or working from home, this system takes up very little space. I work for Spellbinders and so I actually have made two books to make travel easier, I have lots of dies!
I didn't come up with this idea, a girl on PCP shared it.
*tip - I bought "magnetic vent covers" from Home Depot (go in and ask if they have them, you'll never find them on your own), there are 3 large sheets for about $4 in the package. I've been told Oriental Trading has pretty good prices if you can get a free shipping coupon (magnets are heavy).
When I take the black insert out of the CD holder it is no longer completely closed. There is an open strip on the front. How do you deal with that?
I saw where someone cut off the portion of the black insert that closes that hole (probably used a bandsaw or something) and glued it to the back of the case so that it still closed up that hole. But the rest of the insert, with its hub to hold the cd, was tossed.
I've found the most perfect way to store my Nestabilities. I've tried some of the ideas previously suggested but have found this to be a perfect, compact way to store them (and you don't need any magnetic strips).
I have a photo on my blog if you want to see what I've done. There is an explanation as well.

I have been using the Quickutz magnetic folders but it doesn't look like these are made anymore. Everywhere I look is out of stock. Anybody know of any places with these still in stock? (I use them for all my PTI dies as well - they are fabulous).
I have mine in a travel CD binder.... I put a piece of magnet sheet on a piece of cardstock (for stability) and then put each set on to the magnet... then slip them into the sleeves... sits just under my desk beside me and is quick to grab when going to a friends' house to craft.
Definitely magnetic ! I use magnetic sheets from hardware store or rejects from a sign makers shop. Trim sheets to 8 1/2 by 11 inches, and punch three holes. The magnetic "pages" fit perfectly in a looseleaf notebook binder, and you can store LOTS of dies on each page. Inspiration comes easily when just flipping through the pages.
I use something I found at Target's Dollar Spot a few months ago and it's PERFECT! It's a plastic folder with about 10 dividers inside. It's about the size of a business check; maybe a little larger and it's rectangular. I kept the original Nestie page, cut down to fit in the folder, and added the date I purchased it and the size ('large' or 'small'). I also adhered a magnetic business card sheet on it so they stay in place. Since I don't have a ton of nesties, this works swell for me. Everything is nice and contained and this plastic folder is easy for me to throw in my Big Shot doctor's bag when I got to crops.
