Hi! I'm trying, for the first time, to make the Del Monte fruit cups and can't seem to get the cardstock to stay stuck to the can! Can you tell me what to do to get it to stay in place?? Thanks!!

Sticky Strip works great for hard to hold projects. I use it for my mini gable boxes and "sour cream" containers so I'd think it would work good for your "card stock to can" project.
What's a Delmonte Fruit Cup? Never heard of that one.

I'll have to try the Sticky Strip. In answer to your question about what the DelMonte Fruit Cup is, go to the gallery and look under containers. I believe there are some shown there. You use a safety can opener that takes off the whole bottom of the can, empty the contents out, wash and dry the inside, fill it with candy or whatever, glue the bottom of the can back on, decorate the outside and you've got a cute little container to give as a little extra something!

I was in Walmart yesterday and looked all over for a Safety Can Opener. After a while I decided any would do. I found one hand operating thing that wasn't safety. Where did you all get yours?

Yep! And those molded bottoms are a pain. My cranberry sause sure didn't slide right out.
Shirley, I got my safety can opener at Target for around $10 and I love it! In fact, I don't bother with the electric one I've got mounted under my cabinet anymore!

I used SU!'s designer vellum with a bit of crystal effects. Seems to have worked beautifully. The first one I made I used E6000 - definitely wouldn't recommend that on odor alone.
My SIL and I made 35 of them about a month ago. We used plain old mono adhesive from viking and they are still holding strong!! By the way, I also did a gallon sized paint can survival kit for my daughter 2 months ago and used mono for that and it's still holding! Alicia
On the cans with the molded bottoms--I have been using my safety can opener to open them from the top so the pop-top is still intact. I am going to try and see if they can still be glued back on and used for little presents just like the ones that are opened from the bottom. That might be even more of a mystery for the recipient--(now how did she do that?)!
