Hi to everyone, I have enjoyed so many of your creations. I am just getting into copics and stamping. I thought this was a simple process, NOT! I have so much to learn. I have tried digi stamping, however the ink from my printer runs when I color with my copics. Is there a special ink I should be using. Also looking for stamps around kids or kids at heart. Thank you, I know I will enjoy your group, Darlene

Hi there! Welcome to the site!

I <3 my Copics so much. For ink, I use Memento Tuxedo Black - it's perfect for Copics and won't smear - just make sure it's dry before you start coloring.

Let me know if you need anything

Understandblue, thank you for your reply. I do use memento tux. black. My problem is with digi designs that I download and print on my HP printer. The ink smears with copics, is there another ink that I could use in my printer. Or, is there a different method for downloading and printing. I love my copics and still in the beginning of learning the tech., Thank, Darlene

Hi Darlene and welcome from New Zealand! Sorry I can't help you but there must be a way round it as digi stamps are very popular, and other people must have had this problem too. I am sure someone here will have a solution!

Hi and welcome from me

I'm not sure how much help I can be, but maybe letting the ink dry for a little while before colouring in with Copics would help, or perhaps setting and drying the ink with the heat tool before you colour in may eliminate the smudgings? Rather than colouring in the images as soon as they've been printed out?

If you could print up lots of digi stamps one day, and colour the next, that might work?!? Hopefully, give this a try and let us know how you get on

Bye for now,

Alex
