Default Publication question....

Ok, so I recently found out I'm getting my very first card published. This has been a goal of mine for a while now and I submitted a few times before they chose something. Imagine my surprise when I found out they actually pay you!!! Who woulda thought? So now I'm seeing things where certain companies compensate you if you get work published using their stamps, mostly with free product. Is there a list somewhere or does anyone know who those companies are? I used all PTI stuff....anyone know their policy?

TIA.

There is this list here:

Publication Incentives

There may be some info that is out of date, though, and I didn't see PTI listed.

It never hurts to contact a company and ask. You'll do this after the magazine is for sale. Just take a picture of the page your card (make sure it shows them credited)is on and email it to them.

Congrats! I would have said the same as Jeanne - if you ever get published using stuff by a company that doesn't have an explicit compensation policy, just ask. The worst that can happen is that they say "sorry, no". A lot of companies these days have their compenstation listed on their web site, sometimes with different levels depending on whether you mixed their stamps with another company's or used exclusively their designs. Have fun seeing your card in print!

Oh, add Gina K. Designs to that publication incentive list! If your card only contains Gina K. Designs stamps, we pay you $25.00 plus a free set of your choice valued up to $24.95! It has to be published in one of the major Stamping or Scrapbooking Magazines. Not online.
Congratulations on getting your card published!

You should have asked me...lol

When I started submitting frequently I went through all my stamps and started emailing the companies to see if they offered any incentives (this was a couple years ago... so I don't want to post my list in case there has been changes). The best thing to do is email because some don't list on their sites.

Some companies only give incentives to their DTs, some give to everyone. It varies company to company. Incentives vary too.

Off the top of my head these SCS Member Companies have incentives to everyone - Unity, Gina K, My Favorite Things, Flower Soft (I haven't checked into the others, they may too).

Oh... one more things. Make sure and check each company's rules. Most want only their images used on the submitted cards (which makes sense to me).

I do know that Stampin' Up does NOT offer any incentive. Not sure about Inkadinkado, though.
