Students need to register... not really, but ya know what I mean... post your excitement in this thread and go have fun stamping!
This is where you will pick up the most awaited news that could make or brake your year! (You know that everything is so hormonal and dramatic.) You are getting your class schedules! And oh no! It's you! You are one of the lucky students to be in Mrs. Fraction's math class!
OK. Don't panic. You just need a plan.
Challenge #1 - Teacher's Pet
Keyword: CASfall10TP
(No spaces CAS fall 10 TP -- not good  : If you are concerned about getting it right... copy & paste it into your keyword box.)
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, August 24 @ noon EDT
New Rule: Please don't combine this challenge with any other current SCS challenge. Thanks!
New Rule: Please make only one card for this challenge. (It's easier to narrow down the field this way.)
2 Part Challenge
1. Use one or more punches on your card.
(Be careful to keep it CAS... that's the challenge part. Punches can be addicting.)
2. Teacher's Pet theme... and I leave it wide open for interpretation.
Here are some ideas:
apples
pencils (Teachers LOVE extra pencils.)
candy & cookies, etc.
a pet (Why not? LOL!)
I don't remember making samples for these searches, but I guess I got excited because I'm a teacher. :rolleyes:

Challenge Gallery
There will be three challenges as we narrow down the "class". At the end we will have a
Pep Rally!
(Date to be determined soon. It will be either Wednesday, Sept. 1 or Thursday, Sept. 2)
Standard Expectations of a DT member: I need you to post your sample for each challenge on Sunday evening between 10PM-11PM EDT. You may miss 1 or 2 weeks do to illness or emergencies. You will be participating in choosing the challenges for the season during your 2nd week as a DT member. When the season is ending and a new DT search is going on, I would like you to help with the judging, especially in the final round.
CAS Fall Design Team Schedule (September - November)
In addition to the three new DT members, there will be a guest designer each week. If you would like only to be considered as a guest designer, please let us know on the thread and/or in the comment section of your card when uploading.
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Semi-Finalists for Challenge #2
I was thrilled to see new faces participate in the DT search challenge! I hope everyone has had fun. Wasn't the gallery fun to see!?!
I have really enjoyed working with everyone and sharing this challenge with so many talented people through the DT and guest DT.
We had 36 'students' and the 'classroom' has been reduced to 20. After the 2nd challenge which is due Saturday at noon EDT, the classroom size will be reduced to the 10 finalists.

Optional: Using fashion or school related images as the theme is not necessary.

CHALLENGE #3
There are so many things to capture a teen's attention away from homework: sports, girls, driving, boys, school dances, more girls, pimples & bad hair days, more boys, phones (although these days it's for texting instead of talking ), more girls, dating, and more boys.... etc.
Anyone seeing a trend? LOL! Oh the hormones! Some of us have fond memories of high school while some are glad they never have to experience it again. But just about every high school teen wants to be "a couple" with someone. In the spirit of dating, the next challenge is about 'couples.'
Challenge #3 - Couples
Keyword: CASfall10C
(No spaces CAS fall 10 C -- not good :( If you are concerned about getting it right... copy & paste it into your keyword box.)
Challenge: Something on your card needs to be 'a couple.'
Examples:
2 brads
2 ribbon ties
2 eyelets that could possibly be used to thread twine through
2 of the same image whether it be side-by-side or masked.
You could also use an amage that has 2 of something: a wedding couple,
2 pets cuddling each other, 2 birds in a nest, etc.
Have fun with this. Keep it clean and simple... and of course, creative! You have a lot of talent to share!
