Default Dies Direct?

Has anyone bought any dies from Dies Direct? I just clicked on the ad at the top and was surprised to see how many kinds of dies they offer! Their nesting dies can also be stacked which is pretty darn cool but at $39.99 a set, I wanted to see if anyone had any comments on them yet?

I checked it out, too, but I am not convinced on the Stackers, anyway. Seems to me to be a huge rip-off of the good thing Spellbinders has going, minus one big selling point: the ability to look through the die to see your stamped image for easy placement. It looks like they have a placement tool, but that's just one more step. Add to that the higher price, and I'm just not impressed with these, they are the same as the first generation of Nesties...
Now, if I had a need for it, the Ultimate German Shepherd die is pretty impressive. I like that you can buy just one die, and their shipping and handling is very reasonable. So maybe if I had a need for a dog die...

I agree--the nesting dies seems really expensive, but the dogs are great. I may also get one of the dogs and looks like free shipping on those. Have several 'stamping' neighbors who have Labs, so die cuts would make great gifts.. Any idea what size these are? Make as Aussie and I'll buy one for sure.

I would never purchase from them again...I will keep the reason to myself...I do not find them to be a good company to work with...I prefer and will keep getting only the Spellbinders dies...
blessings.

Default Not so pricey

When you consider that you are getting heavy metal dies, not thin open shapes they are not as pricey. Especially when you compare them to the newest Grands from Spellbinders. Spellbinders has a patent for open dies. But it is easy to use the solid dies, even over a digi image. What I like best is the largest size of their Stackers, the French Flair goes up to 5 1/2 inches, you can use it for the card shape if you like. And have you checked out the size of the embossing plates...5 7/8 x 7 3/4. That means you can emboss a full background for a 6" square card or a 5 x 7 card. No piecing together embossing folders to make a card. I have had no trouble with my dealings with them, in fact they go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
