Default Help, Glue Glider pro

I purchased the glue glider pro and I'm trying to figure out how much tape it has compared to the Tombow adhesive that I've used before. The Tombow has 472 inches of tape. The Glue Glider has 40 feet. Seems to me that if I'm doing my math right...they are about the same?? But the glueGlider looks like it has soooooooo much more tape??? So if I'm right, not any more tape but the cost is about the same? Now, the reason I bought it was because I am discouraged about how sometimes my cards "come apart" from the tombow glue. Is the Glue Glider THAT MUCH BETTER? If so, it might be worth the money. Anyone have thoughts or have used this?

Yup. 480 inches. I think it sticks just fine but I haven't had anything I made with it sitting around for an extended period of time.

But it *is* spendy. That's why I generally use my ATG. 1296 inches of adhesive for about $2 when bought in bulk.

I decorated a gift bag for a baby shower, and I used the GGP. All of the pieces started coming off. Luckily, it was right before I left for the shower, so I was able to stick them back down with tacky glue. It was the Perma Tac tape, the one with the dots of adhesive. Honestly, I had bought the GGP as an alternative for the ATG. Now that I've bought 2 ATGs, I would never go back. The only time I use my Tombow adhesive runner (which I've never had a problem with, BTW), is when I have a small item that requires me to be very precise with the adhesive.

I tried the GGP, and definitely not worth it to me. Too much money for what you get, and I didn't like the adhesive.

I tried a friend's GGP and I didn't like it. It was alot harder to roll out than the ATG. I stick (no pun intended, LOL) with my ATG. My cards do not fall apart, unlike with Tombow or SNAIL and the price is pretty good. I get 40ft for $3.50 when I buy 12 or more rolls in bulk. A little bit more expensive in Canada than in the USA, but still a good deal for me. GGP refills are $7!!! Try the ATG, once you've shelled out for the gun itself, the savings in refills will more than make up for it. Plus, it's easy to use and the adhesive is great quality!

If you can, take that GGP back and save your money. Tape breaks, doesn't hold and is wayyyy too expensive. Been there done that! Should have put the $$ towards an ATG. Sometimes what seems to be the less expensive way ends up being the costlier way!
