I PUT A FREE STANDING POP UP CARD ON MY GALLERY RECENTLY AND I HAVE BEEN GETTING LOTS OF REQUEST FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS. IT IS VERY EASY AND I HAVE WRITTEN SOME INSTRUCTIONS UP WITH A DIAGRAM.
WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR FREE-STANDING POP UP CARD
__________________________________________________ _
You will need: 11" X 4 1/2" piece of card stock...piece A (main body of card) 5 1/4" X 2 1/2" piece of card stock...piece B (message card) 2 1/2" X 1 1/2" piece of card stock...piece C (front greeting card)
Decorate the "A" piece of card stock. Turn "A" over and with a pencil, lightly mark, score and fold to make lines 1", 2 3/4",3 3/4", 5 1/2",7 1/4", 8 1/4", 10".
On the center line (5 1/2" line) mark in 3/4" on both sides.
With a razor knife cut a line 2 3/4" long between the two 3/4" marks.
Take card stock piece "B" and stamp the message you want for your card, on one side. Be sure not to stamp on the bottom 1"(This area will be inside the card and won't be seen.)
On piece "A" mark a bottom center line from the 1" score line down on both ends.
On piece "B" mark the bottom center line for the bottom only.
Thread the message area of "B" through the center slot of "A".
Align and glue the two centers marks of "A" and "B" together (like a sandwich with B being the center).
Stamp a greeting onto the front of card stock "C" and glue to the front of the card.
It will help if you look at the diagrams.
When you are finished...your card will slide up and down through the slot. Flat for mailing and Free standing once it is opened.

I think I have the instructions somewhere, but I haven't made any yet. I do believe I will have to try that card soon! I DID want to say that I had a peek at your gallery and I really enjoy the cards you've made. I like your style!

I AM SORRY, YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS KEEPS COMING BACK WITH PROBLEMS. COULD YOU PLEASE EMAIL ME A NOTE AND THEN I CAN SEND YOU A COPY AS A REPLY TO YOUR NOTE.
Joelyn - you may consider posting the instructions to this thread. The me toos can get draining on ya!
I am still learning all the things with the computer and I would not say I am a fast learner either.
If you wouldn't mind...I could send them to you and you could post them. Do you know how to do that?
Patty
My husband was going to send you the diagram last night, using the instructions you sent us on how to do that. Did you get that alright? If you want we can send it to you again.

You will just love it! It so easy once you make one! I'm so glad everyone is wanting something I put on the SCS site. I feel like I'm part of the group now.
LOL!
I tried it an love it. My problem was I stamped the whole card and when I inserted teh little piece and glued it I was so excited that I didn't notice that the stamps on the main card were upside down. Oh well on to more. This time I will be careful.
What is the finished card size/ envelope size for this one complete - does it work out to a standard size or do I need to get creative with envelopes?? TIA
I love all your cards. I found the link for the instructions for the pop up card and I would also love the scratch n sniff card instructions PLEASE EMAIL ME. I have a hard time finding instructions.
