I thought I would love this trimmer. I paid over a hundred dollars for it and only used it maybe seven times. I just don't like it. It does exactly what it is made to do so I couldn't send it back.
Sometimes we just don't like something and can't really put it into words, why. This is one of those things for me.
I bought a Fiskars A-Fleur embossing punch. Just could not get that thing to work. My dil loves fleur de lie and I did so want to do a nice border for her on a card and a border for my grand daughter's scrapbook page. Again... just could not get that thing to work. Kept getting the paper stuck in the punch and ripping it. :(

Many people are using plain shirt type buttons on cards and I just can't get into using them. Every time I try to use plain buttons they look out of place as if I accidently dropped them and they stuck to my card.

Just today I had that problem with a punch. I punched it through some tinfoil first and then I punched wax paper with it several times. It works great now.

Tried that. I think the problem is the embossing part is very "tight" and snags the paper. The punch was new so it wasn't dull. Then again -- it might just be me.

To the OP: did you see the A Muse Everything's Rosy release? BIG stamps! And some of the new Amuseapalooza release include BIG cling stamps!
For me the product(s) I wanted to love and just couldn't is Twinkling H2O's and that Pearly stuff. It's pretty and I love to see stuff other people have done with it but it's just not for me.
I am the same with Twinking H2O's, I just don't find much I want to use it on. The same with Glimmer Mist. I have a few colors..........everytime I use it I just can not get my project to come out at I had imagined.
I am not getting rid of any of it yet.... I may learn how to use it properly!
I wanted to love Copics- everyone else seems to I tried and tried, played and played, and took a class and still didn't warm up to liking them. Finally sold them on the BST boards a few months ago.
For me its the Copic Spica pens.
Everytime I bought one it worked for a bit and then clogged or something. So I decided to never waste another penny on them and stick with the Stardust pens.
Pearl-Ex powder from SU. Even when I was a demo I couldn't get into using it. My upline would show me different techniques and I liked the projects she came up with but to me it was always such a mess and too much hassle for too little "effect". Plus it never seems to stay where you put it. Rubs off on everything!
Now I've seen Tim Holtz's demo video on Perfect Pearls by Ranger. He claims they stay put....hmmmm....tempting....:-)

Perfect Pearls has a binder already in the mix, so it will be much better "behaved" than straight Pearl Ex is. You'll probably like using it much better.

Mine is collecting dust in the closet...I had to have it!! I love my Carl Cutter!

Oh no...I'm afraid to look and be enabled! But, I will check it out!!

I just had to have the gorgeous prima flowers and I love them on other peoples projects, but when I use them, they just look like I stuck them on by mistake.
For me its SU stamps. I have a few sets that I really like, but for me they are just ok and I could live without them. I wanted to like them because just about everyone on here thinks they're the be all to end all, but I just can't get into them. Oh well. I do like their cardstock for the most part.
..I wanted and still want to...love..the brayer, but always find it frustrating, hard and STRESSFUL!
If Michelle Zindorf is ever offering a class in your area, I strongly recommend it. I never achieved satisfactory results until I took her class. Worth every penny and then some. Don't give up on the brayer -- it's a wonderful tool!
Scrap card!!! I try and try to use it in another project but I dont really seem to.... Although I do have a great bestie who seems to be doing a good job at getting rid of it for me ;)
I have to second the brayer. I do use it a lot, good versatile too. But for direct to paper, not so much. I use a sponge instead. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, since I've watched some demos, but mine always looks awful
I'm going to have to also say cuttlebug and other embossing folders. This is because I make larger cards and the folders, except a sprinkling of the newer ones, do not cover a card. In fact, even the A2 size don't fully cover the card. Frustrating. When are they going to start making bigger folders. I love some of the new Texture Fades, but haven't bought any new folders in years.

I LOVE the Perfect Pearls!!! They do stay put from the binder in them. I myself also hate Pearl Ex.
I love putting a little of the white Perfect Pearls in a sprayer with some alcohol and spritzing my cards. It leaves a gorgeous shimmer like no other.
Big flowers. I just can't get them to work for me, and it's not for lack of trying, LOL!
Also, some stamp sets that I should like but just can't work well with. Nothing wrong with the stamps, but they just don't fit my style even if I like the images.
Great thread! Interesting reading what others don't like.

I think Michelle uses a Speed Ball Brayer? Whatever brayer I have is small and hard and squeaky and I cannot get it to work well either! I definitely want to try this technique again after I purchase the brand she has (or maybe she is just a crafting genius and could use any brayer in the world, hee!)
Pampered Chef baking stones--oh wait, this is the crafting site... :-)
It has to be chalks and those shimmer chalk-like sets for me. I see them used and just love the looks, I buy the stuff, and then never get to using them...
Copics are another thing I've not gotten into, but that's because I've never been a colorer. The thought always comes to me, though, that I should take a class and try them, but I know I'd probably end up investing a lot of money and then never use them. So far I"ve been able to resist that temptation...

TAC demo #2239
Every small 12" paper trimmer - I have the graveyard of trimmers
New style punches - I like the old style so much better
Bellas - I have a couple and they are cute, but I never felt the need to get more
Digis - I have downloaded a couple but never used them
Cricuit design studio - have it, bought a viedo to learn and still don't feel the need just don't really want to play on the computer as I'd rather play with my stamps
For me I don't like the digital stamps. There are some really cute ones and I have downloaded a few and even bought a few, but I have never been able to print them out to the size I like without them looking like they went through a time warp. I also don't like buttons, I don't really like the looks of them, don't get me wrong, I have seen some wonderful cards with buttons on them, they are just not my thing.

When I use Pearl-ex, I always give it a bit of hairspray to keep it from smearing.
What a fun thread! I join the OP with my "want to like but just can't" feeling about Amuse stamps for the exact same reason: too small. I also want to like glimmer mist, but it just doesn't work for me, but I love, love, love how people use it. I think I just need to take a class at my LSS.
I'm not a fan of alcohol inks and I guess most of the Tim Holtz grungy stuff. Don't get me wrong, I think it's all lovely to look at, but I can't get myself out of the cutesy, cutesy frame of mind to work with at all.
Chalks. I despise my chalks. They make me feel entirely inadequate because I see gorgeous projects made with them and then when I try said projects, they mock me by looking like junk. ;)

There are precious few things I don't like in crafting, but I have lost the war to love Eyelets! When I first started crafting ions ago, they were the "it" thing - and I have them in every single color!
And now they sit. I bought the eyelet setter, then another - I just can't get them right, they always smush and ruin the card or project and if I never saw them again, I wouldn't msis them

Eyelets AND Brads. I have whole drawer of these things.
And add the Fiskars Stamp Factory to the mix. I just don't know what I was thinking. I am a stamp factory. I don't need any help.
